PTSD from Tinder Ghosting

So I don’t know if anyone here has been following this so I apologise if there’s already been threads about it, but if not I wondered what people thought of all the online talk about supernatural forces causing trauma by using online dating to lure women into especially spirit receptive locations, then abuse them in supernatural ways. “ghost in the machine” I think is the phrase when a spirit uses technology in this way. Makes sense when you think about it, why wouldn’t bad spirits adapt to a technological world just like they adapted and haunted ships and aeroplanes etc? It’s logical when you think about my it.

I read several really traumatic accounts from women that had met a man they came to know as “Daniel” on tinder and went to a location to meet him (which was a house in Yorkshire) where once they arrived they were greeted by “Daniel” and he let them into the house, but then he disappeared and the door slammed shut and wouldn’t open. Then for the rest of the night they were haunted in the dark by voices of Demons calling themselves “Legion” and then at last once the women were really frightened the Demons took physical form and basically gang banged the women for hours until dawn. All the women said they kind of just woke up in morning and the door was open and they were in a derelict house.

Not surprisingly all of the women have PTSD about this as well as trauma from being mocked by people who don’t believe them (which I think is really nasty considering the assualt element)

I just wondered if anyone had had any experiences like this or knew anyone who had? And what they made of the whole thing? Also do you think Spirits are now being influence by online misogynistic dating culture and it’s radicalising them to do these kind of extreme hauntings?

I don’t know maybe I wouldn’t use tinder or other popular apps but would use a smaller app for now for safety. I don’t know

Wtf did I just read? 😂

That's an impossible question to answer. I don't believe in the spirit world and none of it is plausible.

Drugging and rape by human men, on the other hand, definitely does happen.

@Octomore

But don’t you think that this could be lost among the crime committed by human men and just put down to a normal assualt that the women are confused by? Like isn’t that how these things are brushed off?

I have never done OLD, but if I did my main worry would be being attacked by a human man, not a spirit. For that reason, I wouldn't go to a private home with a man I didn't know well.

How many women have been raped by a human tinder date? There are no figures, but it is likely to be tens of thousands, going by the broader rape stats.

So it's important to be wary about dates regardless.

@IzzyNeedsHelp ooh what thing with the haunted Russian astronauts? That sounds impossibly freaky!

iklboo · 20/08/2022 10:31

I read several really traumatic accounts

I read several completely made up stories.

Fixed that for you.

@Octomore

I have been into mens houses like that before and it was fine they were all pretty nice (even though one smelt weird and I think he was high) but I’m rethinking it now.

It's logical when you think about ghosts adapting to use technology instead of haunting ships? No it isn't, it's about as far away from logic as it's possible to get.

unlimiteddilutingjuice · 20/08/2022 10:32

Uh huh

TreacheryPepper · 20/08/2022 10:33

I'm disappointed to discover upon googling that OP has invented this on the spot. I was rather hoping it was another bollocks rabbit hole I could disappear down.

It is infinitely more likely that the normal man you go into a house with will turn out to be a rapist that that he turns out to be a spirit.

IzzyNeedsHelp · 20/08/2022 10:33

@BringBackCoffeeCreams

What I mean is if ghosts have adapted to haunt different things humans have made like haunting ships or spacecraft or aeroplane then why not the internet?

Izzy definitely does need help, I think.

AngelicaElizaAndPeggy · 20/08/2022 10:34

I can't believe women would agree to meet a strange man from tinder at his house in the first place; that sounds like a recipe for utter disaster!

I get what you mean about being poor and things but would you not go for a walk round the park or a chat on a bench or something? 😬 So glad I don't do tinder dating.

NotaCoolMum · 20/08/2022 10:34

That’s enough internet for today 😵‍💫

@TreacheryPepper

No there were reddit and Facebook pages on it but they got taken down. People said they were made up and Tinder had them taken down I heard

I think you shouldn't believe everything you read online.

IzzyNeedsHelp · 20/08/2022 10:36

@AngelicaElizaAndPeggy

Its alright I think most men are alright and If they’re not you kind of pick up that vibe from their house and how they are at the door

This is dangerous nonsense.

IzzyNeedsHelp · 20/08/2022 10:39

@fufflecake

But how do we know if it was made up? I don’t think they should have been taken down because no one believes these women and it’s wrong. I think people are afraid of it like a conspiracy theory but I don’t think it is. I don’t know what happened but I think something weird happened otherwise why would they say it?

Daffiy · 20/08/2022 10:39

We already have to listen to 101 ‘reasons’ why a lot of men aren’t able to control themselves.
Let’s not start blaming male violence on ghosts and fairies in the sky ffs. They’ll have a field day with it.

To be fair I was a bit suspicious of my match so it makes sense

No you can often tell if someone an addict or doesn’t care about life if there house is really run down or they have broken things laying around. I wouldn’t go in those houses

OP posts:
IzzyNeedsHelp · 20/08/2022 10:41

@FAQs

Lol that is funny. What the women described was kind of more like that “haunting” movie? I think that was based on reality as well on real life people
