It's all completely bizarre, and always has been. A minimum salary of 30k just from patreon, plus goodness knows what other income streams from writing and tv appearances- it sounds like a fairly normal, if not actually comfortable income. And as has already been acknowledged- only a month ago they volunteered that their mortgage ability was IRO £550k.

I’ve just skimmed through her Twitter feed and it looks like she posts quite forthright opinions on a variety things - fair enough, thats her prerogative - but then very quickly turns off comments. A bit like putting your fingers in your ears and shouting, “I can’t hear you!”

As I posted earlier, if you struggle with MH etc, for your own well-being don’t put yourself out there on SM. The feedback won’t always be what you want to hear or stroke your ego. SM, for some reason, seems to remove certain peoples’ filters - either those posting or those responding.

Her latest updates on Twitter are putting her autism to the fore, and suggesting that the posts are deliberately targeted at her autistic status. She describes a particular way of b&w thinking as being characteristic of autism (tho in reality autistic people are individuals & behave accordingly.)

I think placing the commentary as an attack on her due to her disability is very wrong of her, given that the charges made are factual & substantiated.

She actually seems to be saying being autistic means she can't lie and is always honest - also a misrepresentation. But if she never lies, she just needs to explain the discrepancies.

I wonder if it’s also worth bearing in mind, many people on SM will also be on the Autistic spectrum or or impacted directly by ADHD themselves? Many of the ‘robust’ responses JM is receiving will be from these individuals and potentially less likely to be empathetic to her clear and obvious need for positive feedback. It’s not intentional bullying, it’s just a fact that that we all have arbitrary levels of social communication.

If JM is able to use her ND as an excuse for outspoken and blunt posts, she should surely accept the same from others?

The sad little story about typing job applications on her phone (because it links back to writing her first book on a phone). Do it on the computer, we know you have one. Someone with multiple books published will have one (she’ll say it’s broken like her magic appearing/disappearing TV).
