Should I buy this wedding dress..?

Hi all,

So I'm currently wedding dress hunting. Wedding is coming up SO quickly now - with only 50 days to go until the big day!
I've left dress shopping until last as I have been on a bit of a weight loss journey and wanted to stabilise a little before buying my dress.

Anyway.. I've lost almost 6 stone now since the beginning of this year, so I wanted to try and find something elegant, timeless, classic but also slightly fitted to give me a nice shape and to celebrate my loss 🫣😊

Today I tried this dress (below) and I think I'm in love with it.. 🥹🥰 but would love opinions before I go and buy it!

Thank you in advance!

It definitely wasn't right! I am really happy with my choice (I went to buy original dress today!) 🥰🥰🥰

@itsoneofthosethings the dress is lovely and huge well done on your weight loss!

If you are worried about church, i had a streamstess make a lace overlay that over my shoulders, upper arms and body, that fastened into the waistband of the dress. I had mine fixed in permanently, but she also did a version that you could take off for the reception. Worth looking into for piece of mind.

Hope the big day goes well Flowers

It’s a lovely dress 😊 I am surprised you’re able to get one at such short notice though!

I shopped for my wedding dress 8 months in advance and was told I’d left it too late 🤨

In terms of the weight loss - I had gastric sleeve surgery (80% of my stomach removed) back in Feb this year, so I've been unable to control how quickly my body's been loosing weight.. so I had to leave the dress to the last minute as I wasn't sure how I'd look by the wedding Blush I'm very lucky I found something I loved at this short notice. 🥰

You look amazing and its a lovely fit.

Make sure you feel comfortable with no shoulders. That's one thing I never do. I always feel vulnerable and its probably just me. So be sure you feel comfortable enough to spend the day in that style.

Congratulations on your weight loss!

Yes, a shrug would be lovely with it.
