In our house we are guessing either Manchester, because it has the Media City area, and has a reputation for being very vibrant and up and coming, or Cardiff because the waterfront would provide a beautiful backdrop and the Millenium center is right on the bay.

Hoping it's Glasgow as we can travel but accommodation will be a nightmare.

LoveLarry · 07/10/2022 19:15

Just checked IHG website. No availability in Glasgow.

Nearest is Strathclyde country park for a whopping £300 per night

ilovesooty · 07/10/2022 19:25

That's awesome Red!

I so wish we'd thought to book hotels in all potential places! But if we got tickets, we would make it work somehow.

DH is away tonight so I'm going slightly insane.

Try and get tickets. Let me know if you get lucky!

One major downside to all this...

...next May will be wall to wall Sonia.

God Help us all!

We've booked further out on the train line, £522 for a week in Southport.

Airbnb will spike with options later though, plus cancellations.

We were in Turin this year, and spent the final night with a Canadian who booked the likely cities for every likely week. Lots of them will do the same but there will be lots of cancellations, and lots of people who put up on Airbnb for a week. Keep looking!

UrsulaPandress · 07/10/2022 21:44

Yay for Liverpool.

And Glasgow would have been wall to wall Lulu 😱🤔

I’m in Barcelona that weekend.

Badlifeday · 08/10/2022 10:21

So what's the deal with tickets, anyone know? When do they go on sale?
