Do you believe in any ‘conspiracy theories’?

SaveTheSharks · 27/06/2022 11:27

Just that really. If so, which ones? 9/11 an inside job? JFK murdered by the American government? 5G? Chemtrails? The royal family are lizard?

I always maintain I don’t believe in anything, but at the same time there’s so much I don’t know and I do believe the government are up to some shady crap that we will never learn about…

I can tell you for a fact that all the ones to do with Jews are false. We are too busy arguing among ourselves to come up with a global conspiracy.

I used to be suspicious of conspiracy theories until I read about false flags like Bay of Pigs, Operation Northwoods, and Lusitania, and mind control experiments like MK ultra.

I don't believe Diana's death was an accident, nor 9/11.

It’s not Jewish people per se though is it, more like an elite family like the Rothschild’s - as far as I understand it?

I believe in them all. I’m a bit gullible and impressionable.

I love a good conspiracy theory.

Don’t believe the Earth is flat, though. It’s very much round. I’ve seen pictures.

I don’t believe man has walked on the moon. There’s too many recording errors. The footprints were wrong, the flag wouldn’t be flying and you can see the strings making him bounce. CGI sucked back then.

The footage from the moon landings is embarrassingly fake. Why don’t they just come out and admit that it wasn’t possible to film so they staged it.

Maybe look into understanding it better.

Dontaskdontget · 03/12/2022 21:09

No, because I’ve worked in central government, and so the idea that the government could successfully organise a conspiracy and competently keep it secret is hilarious to me.

XenoBitch · 03/12/2022 21:14

"The Great Reset" is making more sense.

Not probably as widely known, and maybe not technically a conspiracy theory, but I firmly believe that the "Essex Boys" murders was not the work of gangland revenge/retaliation or a drugs deal gone wrong, but was a case of state sanctioned murder to deal with out of control criminals. No judgement from me tho.

That would not surprise me at all!

quietnightmare · 03/12/2022 21:25

Marilyn monroe

UFOs there just has to be

And you don't believe we know everything that is going on within our government just like in other court tries where they are 'controlled' so are we but we just don't realise it

Sadbeigechildren · 03/12/2022 21:29

I believe in some of them, I just can't decide which. Not Covid or flat earth. Not lizard either.

Not sure about the moon landing. Why haven't we been back. Why hasn't China or Russia hurried up with a flag.

Sadbeigechildren · 03/12/2022 21:32

And there's definitely some Russian who keeps bundling people out of London windows.

Pedallleur · 03/12/2022 21:38

I'll go UFO. Easy to hide evidence in e.g. Area 51 or Siberia. News about ET may well destabilize Govts plus all that tech is useful. V.limited access and secrecy is easy to maintain. No one in the Navy talks about the Cold War and submarine patrols so UFO info would be just as limited.

Just Russians who slip while admiring the view

The images of so called UFOs haven't improved in quality since the 1950s, despite everyone (more than twice the global population) having incredibly powerful cameras in their pockets, CCTV and satellite imagery. Seems odd that we still get blurred, ambiguous images.

Bewitched005 · 03/12/2022 21:44

Like some others, I believe that Diana's death was not accidental. I would love to know the truth but I don't suppose I ever will.

I once met someone who had worked on the moon landings. It wasn't faked.

ChampagneCommunist · 03/12/2022 21:56

What's the Live Aid one?

For me, David Kelly & Gareth Williams (spy in the bag)

Figgygal · 03/12/2022 21:59

I enjoy winding my husband up about the moon landings
I know they were real but its still incredulous to me

RosesAndHellebores · 03/12/2022 22:05

Diana/but deeper Dodi was up to something and she was being used and couldn't be trusted
David Kelly
JFK
Marilyn Monroe
Jill Dando
John Lennon
9/11 (I feel sure this was a.set-up to discredit others)
Rasputin
Sir Simon Stephens; more machiavelian than conspiracy but let's not forget he was an advise to BLiar.
Annency, yes

The worrying thing are the less high profile events that nobody knits together because not very important people were onto very important secrets.

What is the theory with Rasputin?

JustKeepSlimming · 03/12/2022 22:12

I'm not convinced by the official stories about Epstein, David Kelly or the "spy in the bag".

I also suspect there was a bit more to 9/11 than they said, but more on the level of "they knew it was going to happen" rather than thinking the US was involved.

Also, not sure whether this counts as a conspiracy theory as such, but there was a boy called Noah who died in Belfast a couple of years ago, and the "official" version of what happened (from the Belfast police) makes no sense at all.

In general I'm more inclined to believe in theories that involve incompetence rather than actual planned cover-ups, though.

HRTQueen · 03/12/2022 22:18

Jack Ruby shooting Lee Harvey Oswald

that was a little too convenient

i don’t believe Jeffrey Epstein killed himself

CEO and founder of Crypto death so close together

MissMarpleRocks · 03/12/2022 22:21

There was a documentary on the Annecy murders recently with the British police saying that the French police hadn’t investigated the possibility of the cyclist being the target because of the family’s being Iraqi born.

PermanentTemporary · 03/12/2022 22:30

Not conspiracy theories, no, I don't think I believe any of them.

Given the number of really shoddy investigations and reports that come to light if anyone looks at them, I can believe that there are more miscarriages of justice and departments riding their luck than we ever find out about. The idea though that those same departments could organise multiple secret ops and events and nobody would ever let slip any information is ludicrous.

There are occasional conspiracy theories that are much more plausible than others. I don't believe Covid19 was a Wuhan lab escape but it doesn't seem that crazy an idea.

Have you ever taken a photo of the moon with an iPhone?
A typical smartphone isn’t a powerful camera at all.

I do believe in UFOs and aliens. I have done since I was a child, it feels logical that there are since we live in a vast unexplored universe.

The way UFOs have been talked about over the last year has changed, high up naval officers and ex presidents have admitted there is something - a big turn about from laughing and joking and denying.

I don't think that there's been a spontaneous epidemic of suicides and family annihilation among Russian oil executives.
