We were going to hire a small car for two days in August when we go to Scotland for a wedding £450 for two days plus petrol and insurance. We are just going to manage without, hoping to share a taxi with someone else from our hotel to the wedding venue ☹️

I went to Pret the other day. Got a sandwich (thought they had rocketed up - £4 for a tiny bread roll) and went to get one of their 99p cans of soda: £3.65. I went to work and had water there instead.

We usually get 30L sacks of wood-based cat litter for our two rabbits' litter trays. It's a brand I've used for well over a decade and used to pay around £8, but up to £12 in the last 18 ish months. We got it on Amazon and have Prime and one sacks lasts about 5 weeks so we didn't mind paying a little extra for better quality litter delivered to our door.

Yesterday we realised we'd almost run out, so I went straight to Amazon to order. It's just under £18 now, for the same sized bag.

We ended up going to Pets at Home and buying two 30L bags at £7.99 each (plus the cost of fuel). The quality is terrible but we're having to make some sacrifices here and there.

£2 to full your car is a bargain. It's costing most people around £100 to fill a family car 🙃

It's actually gone down a few pence per litre here (central Scotland) in the past week. It had gone up to 193.9 but was 190.9 and 189.9 in two petrol stations I passed at the weekend.

Ginsters pasties 4 pack from Tesco.
They’ve been £2.75 for a long time, not on offer, and were when I placed my order earlier this week.
Just had it delivered and they’ve jumped up to £4 since. I’ve checked the website and that’s the price.
