What's for dinner on this beautiful Good Friday?!

What lovely weather! Such a nice change.

We're having burgers every which way - which means the girls will have a beef, bacon and bbq sauce burger which has absolutely no contact with anything that could be accused of being a vegetable.

DH and I will be having chicken satay burgers - yum!

Washed down with a nice NZ sav' blanc. . .

Cake and Winefor you.

JudgeRindersMinder · 15/04/2022 17:21

Sour grapes here 😂 I’ve heard nothing on the radio but how lovely the weather is…not on the east coast of Scotland it isn’t! It’s Baltic here

Germolenequeen · 15/04/2022 17:21

@forlornlorna

Oh dear - hope you're well soon 💐

BritishDesiGirl · 15/04/2022 17:22

Tandoori chicken, mixed vegetables rice, pakoras, yogurt chutney. Followed by milk cake

dementedpixie · 15/04/2022 17:23

Pulled pork. I even remembered to put it in the oven as it needs to cook slowly for hours

Sushiii · 15/04/2022 17:23

Thai red curry with tofu and veg - my fave. Already started on a glass of Prosecco! Bit sad I have no one to share it with as single and live alone but thought why should I miss out on bank hol treats Smile

LostForWords2021 · 15/04/2022 17:23

steak kebabs, potato salad with pickled onions, corn on the cob and chicken wings.

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 15/04/2022 17:23

Chippy tea

dementedma · 15/04/2022 17:24

Agree with JudgeRinder, cold and dull here in East Scotland. Had a bowl of home made soup earlier and cant be arsed with dinner so probably gin and a sandwich.

I’m the same, we’re in the Highlands.

Steak & sausage pie, mash and broccoli for us followed by rhubarb crumble.

Floralnomad · 15/04/2022 17:25

@forlornlorna - I sincerely hope that tasted better than it looked 💐. We are having roast chicken with wedges and crusty cheese bread .

Magnoliayellowbird · 15/04/2022 17:27

Broccoli tart with mashed carrot and parsnip.

PoptartPoptart · 15/04/2022 17:27

Traditional Good Friday fish and chips here too.
We are not particularly religious but DH was brought up not to eat meat on Good Friday. I don’t mind.. any excuse for a take away Grin

Lulu1919 · 15/04/2022 17:28

Fish n chips takeaway ...last night of our holiday in Dartmouth Devon

InFiveMins · 15/04/2022 17:29

Chinese takeaway here. Wish we'd gone for a chippy tea though, I really fancy it.

cheesenpickle · 15/04/2022 17:30

it was supposed to be salmon en croute, dauphonais potatoes, tenderstem broccoli, runner beans. Cancelled family as son has norovirus. Dh went out last night and appears to have gone back to bed. I'm having a gin , can't be bothered now to think of cooking something else.

Nnique · 15/04/2022 17:32

Korean pancakes (with cabbage, carrots and prawns) and dipping sauce. Ramyeon noodles and soft boiled egg.

OdeToSadDisco · 15/04/2022 17:32

It's SIL's birthday so we're drinking prosecco in her garden at the mo and she's doing a risotto in a while

CheshireChat · 15/04/2022 17:33

Lidl had some schnitzels filled with cheese so that, oven chips and a salad. Can't be bothered to cook today.
