What's for dinner on this beautiful Good Friday?!

What lovely weather! Such a nice change.

We're having burgers every which way - which means the girls will have a beef, bacon and bbq sauce burger which has absolutely no contact with anything that could be accused of being a vegetable.

DH and I will be having chicken satay burgers - yum!

Washed down with a nice NZ sav' blanc. . .

Bbq tonight. Dd having salmon. Not sure what DH and me will have.

Fish and chips

We tend to have fish on Friday anyway

Just back from 24hr travelling so it's takeaway pizza and chocolate here

Oh I could happily have had fish and chips today!! But sadly OH isn’t feeling 100% and rich food of any kind is difficult for him to stomach.

Still, I love an Asian pancake so I’m looking forward to it.

A rare takeaway! We're having Indian but not sure what yet.

Chicken burgers, curry flavoured chips (saw them in Aldi and was intrigued!) and sweetcorn.

On our hols in Devon - weather is ok but not great. We were supposed to be bbq-ing but can't be arsed so cooking it in the caravan. I have wine though so I'm not bothered!

Hospital dinner

🤮 That looks vile

DH and I are having Sautéed Partridge Breast Fillets with Rosemary and Apples, served with some kind of potato (baby new if I have my way, mash if DH has his way) and something green (tenderstem broccoli or cavolo nero). A bottle of wine or two.

KIds are having leftover lasagne with broccoli and carrots.

It sounds poncier than it is. I bought a job lot of frozen game a while back on a whim, which has been freezer blocking, and am trying to clear freezer space.

My sister just sent me a photo of her kids in the paddling pool. Meanwhile I am wearing a padded coat..

Pizza and beers

Maybe dominos. Although dropped one of my two beers in Tesco car park. Gutted.

I'm going to make some soup. Had fish meal today.

Good Friday so it's fish as we are RC (very much lapsed for me)

Salmon traybake (new potatoes red and yellow peppers roasted with a spinkle of sticky chicken seasoning stuff I have)
It's was delicious

Not a lot, slice of simnel cake and a cup of tea.
Cannot be bothered to cook, DH can forage in the fridge if he’s hungry.
No appetite since having Covid 😊

Fajita chicken and salad, but I might do some cod croquette things in the air fryer too as its Good Friday.

Trying to be better about leftovers so on the spur of the moment I invented dal bread and butter pudding with paneer and mango pickle.

It's good! I'm selling the recipe to BBC Food and retiring.

Champagne

Opened a bottle earlier. Cant manage food and drink

Indian takeaway!

Fish and chips here and got a bottle of wine in fridge.

Butter chicken & cumin rice
Banana cake
Chablis.

Very traditional in our house this evening!

Chicken penang curry with coriander and lime rice for the meat eaters.
Quorn fillets with mushrooms in creamy tarragon sauce with new potatoes for the veggies.

We were eating outside until some w*nker lit a bonfire.

Home made pizza here. DD and DH currently making the dough, then we'll all choose our own toppings etc and bung them in the oven in an hour or so.
