What's for dinner on this beautiful Good Friday?!

What lovely weather! Such a nice change.

We're having burgers every which way - which means the girls will have a beef, bacon and bbq sauce burger which has absolutely no contact with anything that could be accused of being a vegetable.

DH and I will be having chicken satay burgers - yum!

Washed down with a nice NZ sav' blanc. . .

Chinese Takeaway - it’s on it’s way.

Unicornspirit · 15/04/2022 18:33

Chinese, ribs in honey and beef and mushrooms in black bean sauce, yum. Now I'm having an easter egg for pudding

Flipflopfoodle · 15/04/2022 18:34

Good Friday = Homemade fishcakes. Kids love them and it's such a faff to make so I don't do them often but always on Good Friday.

Mystery tea, I cleaned up after a party for a cleaning client and she gave me some leftovers. Just eating now and it's very tasty whatever it is.

I have to say, I never knew that one shouldn't eat meat on Good Friday! Bloody heathen colonials that we are!

Homemade beef kebab with garlic mayo, chilli sauce and herby chips. And a naan bread. And some salady bits. Courtesy of Gousto, I'm a dreadful cook but even I can't balls up their recipes Grin

Oldtiredfedup · 15/04/2022 18:47

Veggie fried rice

Stormyinacoffeemug · 15/04/2022 18:47

Good Friday. Massive homemade fish pie with rosted broccoli and carrots on the side. Traditional and yum. The kids will love it.

RinklyRomaine · 15/04/2022 18:48

Fillet steak with rocket and tomato salad and 2 blue cheese / prosciutto stuffed mushrooms. Lush and not remotely diet friendly.

Pinkyponkalonk · 15/04/2022 18:50

Steak fajitas here - no tortilla wraps for me as I'm eating healthily so just the meat/peppers/onion for me. Followed by natural yoghurt. Not worried about not having treat type food over Easter, feel.like I've had 2 years of it with lockdowns and pregnancy!

LuckySantangelo35 · 15/04/2022 18:50

So surprised at the amount of people eating meat on Good Friday!!

Pinkandpurplehairedlady · 15/04/2022 18:52

Spaghetti hoops and toast as we all have covid and no one really feels like eating.

ENoeuf · 15/04/2022 18:52

I tried to do jacket potatoes in an airfryer. Im also trying to do two actual cooking from scratch meals a week as I never learned to cook and have raised the kids on a lot of pasta…made my own fajita seasoning the other day which was very exciting.
