@AgnesWestern
I went out today with friends and have been enjoying the nice weather. I’ve not been looking at this thread as often or social media/the news and I have been feeling much better for it.
Just thought I’d mention that in case others want to do the same, especially if they’re struggling with it all, as I am.
I'm glad it made you feel better. I must say I'm getting to the point now where I'm accepting this may go on for some time. I've done what I can by donating money to help Ukraine. I have huge sympathy for them but my worrying is not going to change the outcome of this conflict.
Yes I absolutely hope peace talks prevail but by consuming myself in the horror that ukraine is facing is not doing myself or my kids any good.
Someone said earlier about Putin loving russia so much. You could see that at his rally he thinks there is no greater thing in the world than Russia. He certainly didn't seem like someone who would risk mutually assured destruction of his beloved country anytime soon.
As @AgnesWestern said, get outside and enjoy the life we are lucky to have. Yes feel sympathy and help the situation where you can. If anything this just goes to show that life is so precious and can be taken away so quickly.
