I find myself idly wondering what the political and diplomatic plans are for dealing with a regime in Ukraine that has been installed by Putin ?

Talking high is OK until own family doesn't get the suffering, watching own home turning to rubble and own loved ones losing lives.

Watching this all Crimea has been more considerate about their people.
Their people have not to be killed in masses or got displaced from their own motherland. They are still there in their homes with their children not in -6 degrees out in cold, living daily life.
(still sad about every single life been lost in Crimean crisis)

The Russian SOP is to accuse your enemies of exactly what you are doing (or going to do).

So now when chemical weapons are deployed by Russia, they will claim it was the Ukrainians - with US assistance.

However considering that I am probably one of the less bright posters here and I can remember the "weapons of mass destruction" that we were lied to told existed in Iraq, then I wouldn't really read too much into this. It's just more signal-obscuring noise.

The Salisbury attackers came in on tourist visas. Which are still available for Russians apparently, and probably easier to get right now than a Ukrainian refugee visa.

Noted, *@LaingsAcidTab*. The Guardian live feed is an easy one-stop-shop to dip into, but other suggestions would be welcome. Mostly I'm using this thread and clicking on links out. I haven't got the time (or mental or emotional energy) to lose myself in Twitter.

It's difficult to find solid news sources. There must be so much misinformation and disinformation out there. I actually use this thread more than anything else, but judiciously :)

Who knows ? We live in confused times.

However we do know the Russians never really stopped research into chemical warfare. So make of that what you will. After all not only have they seen other countries use them and get away with it. They've done it themselves on UK soil and gotten away with it. Including murdering an innocent UK citizen in the process.
