50 visas???

alltheapples · 07/03/2022 00:58

@cakeorwine there are no stories coming out about captured Russians being badly treated. We really need to stick to facts.

There are stories coming out about Russian soldiers raping Ukrainian women.

Placemarking - this site seems to have a glitch after midnight. This is my 4th attempt to post, so will leave it until tomorrow!

Booklover3 · 07/03/2022 01:07

It is glitching for me too

The Kyiv Independent@KyivIndependent⚡️Hacking group Anonymous interrupts Russian state TV programs with footage of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine and an anti-war message.

It claims to have accessed TV channels “Russia 24”, “Channel 1”, “Moscow 24”, & streaming services Wink and Ivi.

MissConductUS · 07/03/2022 01:12

It's working fine in New York.

HeadPain · 07/03/2022 02:04

Why is nobody posting

HeadPain · 07/03/2022 02:05

Glitch?

TellMeMoreHellebore · 07/03/2022 02:05

No glitch here.

Booklover3 · 07/03/2022 02:08

Not a lot to say I think

LoveFall · 07/03/2022 02:18

The photo of the family shot down that is on the front page of the New York Times is devastating. Two young children, Mum, Dad, and little dog in a carrier. The two children and Mum dead, and Dad severely injured. Trying to flee.

It has made me cry. I just cannot comprehend why anyone, even Putin, would do this.

Peregrina · 07/03/2022 04:47

Because that is what Wars are like. You might hope that it will knock some sense into those Americans who are desperate for WW3 to start.

Sorry. I have asked the above to be removed. Wrong screenshot. That was not what I intended.

This is a screenshot of the message from Eugene who I booked a walking tour of Kyiv with, via Air BnB.

It has rather broken me this morning.

That’s odd, I was expecting to be catching up this morning on what was posted in the night, was MN down?

I couldn't get MN on my phone for hours, now I'm up and it's ok on my laptop but other people in the thread are saying MN seems to have been down or glitching.

I have a question someone might be able to help explain. What is the significance of the Russians moving off the ww internet. Is it to prevent their own people accessing information/opinion on Ukraine War or is it because expectation is Putin is likely to launch a serious amount of ddos across the internet?

Tigersonvaseline · 07/03/2022 07:15

That tragic scene of the family And dog ,I hope hacker's anonymous got that on Russian TV and the people waiting to cross the broken bridge under the false ceasefire.

I'd assume it is paranoia on the part of Putin, plus one of the 4 main providers of connectivity was going to shut its connections to Russia, so their internet was going to slow anyway.
EezyOozy · 07/03/2022 07:19

Is it correct that the supposed humanitarian corridors will lead only to Russia / Belarus ? So these poor people will essentially be stuck there?

Tigersonvaseline · 07/03/2022 07:21

Peregrina, the worry about ww3 is nuclear.

If it hasn't for that threat I'm sure we would have been in by now with all the massive superior army And driven Russia back.

The only reason we can't is Putin's nuclear threat but now we are held to ransom anyway because he's holding Europe's biggest Nuclear plant

Thewiseoneincognito · 07/03/2022 07:21

@PeonyRose80 I’d like to know this too. Perhaps it’s because if he can isolate his domestic web it keeps Russian sites safe from hacks whilst also being able to inflict damage to the web.

No access to the outside world also means limited news filtering through, in either direction.
