Bring your favourite flops/shoulda been hits to a new audience Smile The only rule is, they cannot have made the UK Top 40.

My first choice - Humpe and Humpe, ‘Careless Love’. The duo changed their name to Swimming With Sharks (the name of their album) in the UK, for fairly obvious reasons Grin

@BuddhaForMary

Then Jericho - Big Area/ The Motive

LOVE this.

Love both of these songs 😊
PrancingQueen · 27/02/2022 20:11

These were from Hertfordshire too!

Redannie118 · 27/02/2022 20:43

I was a huge Then Jerico fan, but Big Area charted at No 13 and The Motive at 18 so hardly obscure.

SheldonesqueTheBstard · 27/02/2022 21:37

Got to number 16 but you barely hear it

not Vienna

StopStartStop · 01/03/2022 10:37

@Innatenvi

This one. My parents were big Gordon fans but barely anyone else I speak to has ever heard it.

I know that! It was on the radio all the time!

Joni234 · 13/03/2022 20:52

I keep returning to this thread to work my way through the songs I had never heard of. So many gems 😊

Another one from me - The Art Teacher by Rufus Wainwright

Flickymannagan · 13/03/2022 21:11

Chapel Song by We Are Augustines in fact most of their songs really.

AffIt · 13/03/2022 21:16

Roscoe by Midlake.

Anything by Midlake, tbh.

mathanxiety · 13/03/2022 23:29

Cake, short skirt long jacket

They play Short Skirt Long Jacket at least three times a week on a local rock/indie station in Chicago.

I wish they'd play Wheels, by Cake, on the days they don't play SSLJ...

I heard this on the same station -

Also, R.L Burnside and the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, 'It's Bad You Know'.

XenoBitch · 13/03/2022 23:32

I love stuff to do with AI and robots.

@Skade

Diamond SMILES!!
I remember Diamond Smiles. It was out in about November 1979, followed by Someone's Looking At You.

I remember them both ..

CarnageReincarnated · 21/05/2022 22:29

Crazy by Icehouse.
Broken land by the Adventures. Not very obscure, got some airplay but didn’t get high in the charts.

Cherrysoup · 21/05/2022 23:13
DahliaMacNamara · 21/05/2022 23:43

This is definitely a more obscure song from Harry Nilsson. It must have got some radio play for me to have heard it, but I don't think it got very high in the charts at all. I loved the melancholy and the choral sound at the end.

LadyEloise1 · 22/05/2022 09:10

I remember that Harry Nilsson song @DahliaMacNamara

I love, love, love his "Without You"

glamourousindierockandroll · 22/05/2022 09:27

These aren't cool but they are good in my opinion.

Hit My Heart by X Factor winner Matt Cardle

Hold On Me by Phixx

glamourousindierockandroll · 22/05/2022 09:30

These are cool

Melody X by Bonaparte

Downtown by Majical Clouds

AlecTrevelyan006 · 22/05/2022 20:25

The Mood - almost famous new romantic band from Leeds. They reached the nether reasons of the charts a few times:
Paris is one day away
Passion in dark rooms
Don't Stop
