Glad you tried but will never do again?

Years ago I bungee jumped, an absolutely amazing experience but I will never do that again, too old and too scared now!

Are there any things you're glad you tried but will never do again?

Let me be the first to say CHILDBIRTH! Wouldn't give my kids up for anything in the world but labour and childbirth is not something I'd want to repeat later in life.

Also, eating snails. They weren't that bad in reality but the thought of it grosses me out now.

Scuba diving. It was memorable but once was enough.

I also tried snails....GROSS! Definitely a once in a lifetime thing for me!

Haha yep, I always think it's such a shame snails aren't delicious instead of slimy and gross, it would be such a sustainable way of getting your protein!

Skydive. Good at the time but wouldn't make a habit of it! No problems with jumping out a plane but I felt really ill with motion sickness on the way down Grin

Go to a School Reunion

GeneLovesJezebel · 21/02/2022 14:11

Thailand. Enjoyed some of it, but no desire to go back.

All inclusive cheap holiday in Benidorm

In fact any AI resort type holiday.

Me too but mine was in St Lucia. I don’t like AIs. I get with kids demanding ice cream and lemonade they can work out good value, but when I go on holiday I like eating in local restaurants.

My other was Las Vegas. It’s very much like Marmite but the only thing I liked about it was the trip to the Grand Canyon we went on. Otherwise it’s just Blackpool in the desert.

DramaAlpaca · 21/02/2022 14:18

Abseiling. Once was more than enough.

Gemzee · 21/02/2022 14:19

Childbirth and absailing
Both horrendous!

ffscovid · 21/02/2022 14:19

Visited LA - it's mainly a dump - rough and rundown.

Sky-diving / abseiling / scuba diving / white water rafting: all good fun and an experience of a lifetime but wouldn't have any desire to repeat.

Running a marathon: very proud but wouldn't do it again.

Worked for the NHS: It's in a bad way. It should be the jewel in our crown but poor management and strange (to me) spending habits mean that its arse is falling out.

Itwasgoodwhileitlasted · 21/02/2022 14:19

Yes to Vegas too.

Also, flying in a two seater aeroplane. I wouldn't rush back to that.

Mrsjayy · 21/02/2022 14:21

I crossed a rope bridge in Northern Ireland , near the giants causeway never again it was too swingy ! I've also tried snails never ever again Envy

caranations · 21/02/2022 14:25

Flown a glider. I got absolutely hooked in just two lessons, but that was pre-dc. I wouldn't do it now, no need to take unnecessary risks.

Mrsjayy · 21/02/2022 14:25

Oh I've tried sea urchin not for me !

LowlyTheWorm · 21/02/2022 14:27

Because once is never enough! 😂😂

NightmareSlashDelightful · 21/02/2022 14:30

Boring, sorry…

…but buying a brand new car. I always had new cars, on finance or (latterly) leased. Liked all the theatre of it (and new car smell!). Then we tried running older cars and it’s been fine, and so much cheaper.

Travelling in Cambodia.

I'm glad I went (particularly to Angkor Wat), but I have no desire to return.

AmbushedByCake · 21/02/2022 14:31

Skiing. SO expensive and actually quite scary. No thanks.
