For me it's horse riding. Haven't actually ridden in years but I used to love it and always thought I'd go back to it.

Now too old and scared of falling and it makes me really sad Sad

Anyone else?

Talk to my Dad and Mum

Leontine · 19/02/2022 20:10

This is a stupid one but the thought I’ll never get to go into Topshop again makes me quite sad. Sad

BigGreen · 19/02/2022 20:13

Get completely wasted on drugs

Live without the knowledge of climate collapse

Kteeb1 · 19/02/2022 20:23

@Leontine thank you! Was getting quite sad reading all the comments and then you'd came along. Made me proper lol. I agree! Their jeans were amazing and they'll never grace my legs again!

HerkyBaby · 19/02/2022 20:30

Have baby Number 2. I lived in hope for many years

@Comedycook

Have a big night out in a club with a huge group of friends whilst looking thin, young and pretty
This!
HairyPoppins1 · 19/02/2022 20:36

Hug my mum 💕

Frezia · 19/02/2022 20:40

Wear any shoes I want without having to cater to my swollen feet and ankles (lymphoedema)
Have the kind of winters and summers we had as kids - this I'm mostly sad for my children

Marshatessa · 19/02/2022 20:41

I know this feeling as I feel the same way about my nana. Sending love x

notprincehamlet · 19/02/2022 20:43

Go to see my fave band, stand at the front and know every word of every song in their set. Have swingy hair. Wear dungarees with any kind of credibility.

Mandyjack · 19/02/2022 20:44

@DDIJ

Go to a bar or theatre or nightclub
Why can't you do any of those things?
nopuppiesallowed · 19/02/2022 20:44

Lie in the bath and watch my abdomen move with the kicks of my baby inside.
The middle months of pregnancy - I absolutely loved those balmy days as no longer sick and before I felt like a whale!
I didn't discover Am Dram until my 50s and being on a village hall stage playing Anna in 'The King and I' was honestly one of the highlights of my life! (And I've had a lovely life...)
Going for long walks - Long Covid has left me a bit breathless and fatigued if I do the things I've always done.

Lifethroughlenses · 19/02/2022 20:48

@prettyteapotsplease You don’t have to do this. I’m sure your DH would have wanted you to be happy again with another man.

SophieJo · 19/02/2022 20:55

Hug my parents.

TheBigDilemma · 19/02/2022 20:57

Singing songs in the car with my young boy. I miss that chatterbox.

VK456 · 19/02/2022 21:03

I know, Sellingstress You think when you’re a small child that it will all go on forever. Smile

LoisLane66 · 19/02/2022 21:15

Sad that I can't do the whole of my 20s and 30s again, during which I was pregnant with and enjoying wonderful, magical times with my 5 children, as a SAHM.

IndiaRose22 · 19/02/2022 21:17

Fit into all the heels I own or be able to walk in them because th3eyre so high.. Don't know whether it's from having the baby or breaking my ankle whilst on maternity or a combo but I feel like my collection is such a waste of money now 😭🤣

ThistleTits · 19/02/2022 21:34

@DDIJ

Go to a bar or theatre or nightclub
Me too.
Mamanyt · 19/02/2022 21:50

Horseback riding. Taking long walks with a big dog (now live happily with a cat, who would DIE before setting a pristine paw on dirt). Flying a plane (got my pilot's license a week before I got my driver's license). And last, but not least, sit in a bathtub soaking in hot water without wondering if my knees will lift me out ONE MORE TIME!

RockyReef · 19/02/2022 22:34

Be pregnant and have another child. Due to cancer I am unable to have any more babies and I really wanted another one (two actually). I am so grateful for the children we have but nothing will ever make it ok that we can't complete our family as we wanted to.

GlitterWitch · 19/02/2022 22:43

The list for me is endless (too many health issues to bore you with) but talking to my dad would probably be up there 💔

RockyReef · 19/02/2022 22:43

Having read back through the thread now though, I feel lucky to own horses and ride, still going skiing and running, and most importantly to have both my parents and all my grandparents alive ❤️

Pliudev · 19/02/2022 23:08

Have that feeling that I could do anything if I just tried. Feel like I have potential. I'm old now and my DH is even older and it feels like life is just winding down for us. I think the pandemic aged us considerably.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 19/02/2022 23:09

See my dad, and our lovely old dog. I hope they are happily yomping up hills together. ❤️
