For me it's horse riding. Haven't actually ridden in years but I used to love it and always thought I'd go back to it.

Now too old and scared of falling and it makes me really sad Sad

Anyone else?

talk to my mum and hear her voice

Mb76 · 19/02/2022 18:58

Go back to my birthplace / home town - not even to visit.
Travel like I used to because it was for work and the job no longer exists thanks to COVID.
Be friends with some people who I thought were my friends.

Ilikenewbedding · 19/02/2022 18:58

Go to school.
It's strange, because I was bullied to the point of needing mental health support and didn't attend my last year aside from going in to do my exams, but I'd love to walk around the building again.
Unfortunately it was knocked down and rebuilt into a college in 2008 Sad

Also long walks and hiking. My back wouldn't let me Grin

TwoBlondes · 19/02/2022 18:58

Put both my legs around my neck
Talk to my dad

ColdTattyWaitingForSummer · 19/02/2022 19:04

Dance in a nightclub (not just an age thing, more physical ability).. I loved dancing!

Suzanne999 · 19/02/2022 19:05

Hug my darling husband. Miss him so much every day.

mamabear715 · 19/02/2022 19:05

Oh, definitely cartwheels & handstands, and the main one, to RUN.. wind in hair, roses in cheeks, not been able to do that for a long time. Tarzan swings too!

I'll still ride.. despite arthritis.. just won't canter or gallop now, I feel too vulnerable. I'd have LOVED to have snowboarded..

I too miss my beloved grandparents, daddy, DH.. never forgotten, thought of with love constantly.

Also could I pop back to the 1970's for a while? Family, better health, fun, great shops, everyone in work, we could all afford our energy bills too! Stabbings etc were very rare.. such a HAPPY time..

EthelMcUnready · 19/02/2022 19:06

@DDIJ

Go to a bar or theatre or nightclub
Why wouldn't you be able to go to the theatre again?
Roxy69 · 19/02/2022 19:07

Find a really lovely man.

Learningstill · 19/02/2022 19:08

Appreciate and savour that wonderful time between my children’s birth and senior school without rushing things and wishing the time away.

mamabear715 · 19/02/2022 19:09

I do miss having a significant other at times too.. easy to feel sorry for oneself & lonely.
I tell myself it's another name for freedom. I can do as I please at all times.

mamabear715 · 19/02/2022 19:12

I never miss the tiny baby & breastfeeding days. I loved all mine as toddlers!
I did miss pushing a pram or buggy when my youngest outgrew them. I'd pushed one from 1975-2003 ish!

Chandimum · 19/02/2022 19:15

Find my lady garden without getting out of breath and trying and failing to hoist my layers of belly out of the way so I can catch a glimpse of it 🤣🤣

Sellingstress · 19/02/2022 19:34

Completely agree @VK456! I think Id like to have the best of them back in a room again, for the banter and the good times. Dad, FIL and my best aunt. All great characters that made the family and I miss them so. And maybe just to have a conversation with dad. About anything. That would be so nice.

Yeahthat · 19/02/2022 19:40

@Foolsrule

Live where I lived a long time ago. All work and visa dependent and literally no longer an option due to international politics.
Where did you live?
Bebethany · 19/02/2022 19:42

@ BlueBloodedBlue totally, I could of written your post myself! How I miss the wonderful smells, the big nostril huffs and puffs. Happy day x

Mossstitch · 19/02/2022 19:45

Same as op, when young you bounce when you fall off and just bruise (happened quite a few times😂). When your old you fracture bones, I worked in A & E for many years and put me off and my yearning to be back riding a motorbike, although not fully discounted that as they don't jump at loud noises🐎

Firstbabyrose · 19/02/2022 19:46

Pole Fitness and Aerial Hoop. Used to do it all the time.

Now 2 children later and I've got a HUGE abdominal separation, so I don't see me doing any fun or strenuous exercise anytime soon

Livingonthedarkside · 19/02/2022 19:46

Like you ride a horse, was in the midsts of buying one April last year and cam off, one broken back later and although I can walk etc, the fear of being near one is insane. Both my girls ride (7 & 9 years) and want their own pony and it’s me that’s stood it happening 😔

trixie1970 · 19/02/2022 19:56

Tell my dear, beautiful mum how much I love her - she passed away suddenly in October 21
Play golf again - just lost the drive (no pun intended)
Have any kind of sex drive - it's completely disappeared (at 51) 😪

ndh1980 · 19/02/2022 19:59

Completely agree about the one night stand lol

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 19/02/2022 20:02

Give birth

JufusMum · 19/02/2022 20:03
