For me it's horse riding. Haven't actually ridden in years but I used to love it and always thought I'd go back to it.

Now too old and scared of falling and it makes me really sad Sad

Anyone else?

@katepilar

What I actually miss the most is life without depression, the will to live and the ability to enjoy life.
Shit Kate Sorry to hear this. I am just coming out of 4 years of depression. Sending love and light to you

to be honest my life has been so unhappy and such a car crash I could do with going back to the beginning and starting again so maybe I could enjoy then miss things

poppy990 · 19/02/2022 17:40

Go to a rave

Londoncallingme · 19/02/2022 17:52

Breastfeed a newborn.

Work at a wildlife rehab centre in SA with vervets and baboons. Found it tough when I went aged 61 a few years ago, definitely couldn't hack it now I'm older combined with lockdown lethargy.

JDEE72 · 19/02/2022 18:01

Aside from hug my mum… 👼 😔

Tap dance, fly to a different country, see clearly, put the heating on without taking a mortgage out…

Loads of stuff.

Hopefully we’ll all have chance to do the things we enjoy, even at a reduced capacity, despite Russia 😢

Clucket87 · 19/02/2022 18:04

Coughing without peeing myself!
But on a serious note, giving my mum a cuddle. A decade is a long time without her and I have the rest of my life still to go 😞.

BirdyBee · 19/02/2022 18:11

Have egg and chips with my gran at her house with my grandad making pots of tea and buttered bread for us all

Catg79 · 19/02/2022 18:13

I feel you. I decided I wouldn’t live my life feeling like that and am putting myself first now. I hope you are ok.

Catg79 · 19/02/2022 18:14

Wink me too - miss the 90s!!

bpirockin · 19/02/2022 18:14

Dance with my best friend.
Enjoy a daft and jokey day with my Mum and ex partner.

Pr1mr0se · 19/02/2022 18:17

Be 19 and carefree again (briefly).

McBirdy · 19/02/2022 18:17

I’m in my 40s and I still go dancing in nightclubs. There’s a regular over 30s night that I go to where I often seem to be the youngest person in the room, but it’s so much fun. Everyone is there to enjoy the music and dancing, and it’s such a great atmosphere without the 20 year olds taking constant selfies. Honestly, I absolutely live for my nights out on the tiles! If you love it, don’t give up on it! Look up an over 30s/40s night in your area and get dancing!

Macanncheese · 19/02/2022 18:23

Speak to my wonderful grandmother. Oh how I miss her.

2girls76 · 19/02/2022 18:25

Not have a night out with my old work pals(pre kids)We all went separate ways and one of my best friends moved back to South Africa.I keep in contact with her but not the same knowing We'll probably never see each other again as she's a lot older than me and in poor health.I miss those friends and those care free days and especially miss our amazing nights out - I will remember(well parts)of them forever.

IAteTheLastOne · 19/02/2022 18:35

Get really stoned and laugh until I have to hold my fanny in case I piss myself. #honest

Talk to my Mum, I've had a tough few weeks and would love to get some advice from her. She died 18 months ago, I miss her so very much.

speakout · 19/02/2022 18:47

I am sorry.Loss is very hard. Your Mum sounds amazing. Good advice from my mother is something I have never experienced- it must be hard to lose that.

I miss horse riding too. Last time I went my horse bucked me off and I landed on my coccyx and I had problems for months. I'm too old for this!

VK456 · 19/02/2022 18:52

The magic of waiting for Santa on Christmas Eve and the excitement on Christmas morning after he’s been. You can live it through your children and grandchildren but oh, to feel that frisson one last time…

fuzzywuzzywombat · 19/02/2022 18:53
