Is he? Can't see it online anywhere

FredBair · 31/01/2022 14:44

That report tells us very little. Too much booze mainly.

DePfeffoff · 31/01/2022 14:48

Announcement is certainly going to be apologies if you think I did anything wrong but the country isn't interested in this, the voters can only think of one thing at a time and currently that's Ukraine/Brexit/what a wonderful job I did with vaccines blah blah blah

Sweetpea1532 · 31/01/2022 14:48

I'm in the US and just about to offer up a Biden/Boris equal trade.....but then I saw the attached photo.....the announcement could be worse than expected😮

Thirtytimesround · 31/01/2022 14:53

Oo anyone want to play spot the catchphrase?

“I think what the British people really want to know is…” (10 points each time he says it)

“Getting on with the job” (7 points)

“World-leading” “world-beating” etc (5 points)

Anything in Latin (3 points)

Gas-lighty fake apology like “I’m sorry if people felt that this work meeting looked like a party” (2 points)

Sleazy leer at Laura K, with or without “Thank you, Laura” (1 point per leer)

Extra points for spotting any motifs of a rising dictatorship like uniforms in background, ostentatious flags etc.

It actually tells us quite a lot. It tells us that of the 17 'events' being investigated, 13 of them meet the threshold for criminal proceedings.
Motorina · 31/01/2022 14:58

Or at least met the threshold to be passed to the police for investigation, which isn't quite the same thing.

I think it's extraordinarily damning. Boris is meeting with the entire party this evening. That, presumably, will be in an attempt to convince them that they're better with him than not.

You forgot vaccines, well really it is vaccines vaccines vaccines, world beating (except it isn't I think the UAE is in the lead) vaccines.

Of course he headed the research for the vaccines, he was the one who negotiated all the deals, he actually did all the jabs - you might have thought yours was done by a woman or a slim young man but remember The Scarlet Pimpernel had nothing on Boris.

Kennykenkencat · 31/01/2022 15:00

He won’t go until there is a viable alternative and atm who ever is in charge is going to have to steer the country through a lot of shit and will not get thanked for it if anything goes wrong.

He might go before the next GE but not now or by that time things have turned out so well no one cares about the bad stuff that happened ages ago.

Motorina · 31/01/2022 15:00

It's possible for the vaccine rollout to have been a huge success, and for Johnson to be a corrupt, immoral buffoon. These two things are not mutually exclusive.

maddy68 · 31/01/2022 15:02

He will just lie and get away with it again

lindyloo57 · 31/01/2022 15:05

I would rather he stays as PM as there is no one else that could do any better,

reesewithoutaspoon · 31/01/2022 15:07

That's a pretty low bar you got
SartresSoul · 31/01/2022 15:07

I hope he resigns but I don’t see it happening. If he doesn’t then there really just be a no confidence vote. Her report was as damning as she was permitted to be.

SpinningTheSeedsOfLove · 31/01/2022 15:09

He's on his way from NO 10 to the Commons in his convoy.

Angela Raynor being interviewed by BBC 24 hour news. She says she/Labour want to see some admission of personal responsibility from Johnson.

YogaLite · 31/01/2022 15:09

World-leading achievements
World-beating vaccines
U-turn on NHS staff who don't want vaccines

Casual smirk about some sort of report he didn't have time to read coz he went to drive a truck in Tilbury

Praise for police work and Cressie

YogaLite · 31/01/2022 15:12

Oh, and the reports it a total rhubarb

BringBackCoffeeCreams · 31/01/2022 15:14

Larry the Downing Street cat could do better. They could get him to decide on things by offering him a blue or yellow dreamie. We'd have a 50:50 chance that he'd make the right choice, better odds than Johnson. And Larry would be siphoning off assets fot Mr Tiddles in the garden over the back. Plus he wouldn't be oissed half the time.

Vote Larry!

Ooh yes, I love a good Boris Bullshit Bingo. Cards and dabbers at the ready everyone, it's eyes down for a full house!
BringBackCoffeeCreams · 31/01/2022 15:15
  • pissed half the time
ClawedButler · 31/01/2022 15:18

Larry for PM!

Can we start a Larry party please? I would like to vote for Larry. I am interested in:

  • Mice
  • Sleeping
  • Pretending to want a bellyrub but actually luring you close enough to gouge out your eyes
  • Them fishy stick things Webbox make, like all cat cigars or whatnot
BringBackCoffeeCreams · 31/01/2022 15:18

So is De Spaffle going to be wearing his bullish, I'm fucking marvelous personality. Or will he be putting on his poor me, whipped dog personality on? I wonder which pose he's been practising in front of the mirror.

Noname91 · 31/01/2022 15:18

Did anyone else read the report that's been published today?
I didn't find it very damning at all. I think it's disgusting and he should absolutely be resigning but he wont. Total shambles.
I found it to excuse the PM and one part even said there was a lot to learn from this?! 14 mill cases later and I don't know exact figure but 500k deaths? WTF. Touch wood I've been lucky and not lost someone close to this shitty virus but people have. I'd be livid. One man said he lost his wife and daughter in a week to the disease. It's incomprehensible.

YogaLite · 31/01/2022 15:19

What animal will get a mention?

Pig? Dog? Cat? Rhino??

Or a vegetable? Rhubarb??
