@DePfeffoff

Announcement is certainly going to be apologies if you think I did anything wrong but the country isn't interested in this, the voters can only think of one thing at a time and currently that's Ukraine/Brexit/what a wonderful job I did with vaccines blah blah blah
I agree with this post. He’ll apologise and then expect to move on. He will also give lots of upbeat messages about how well he has handled vaccine rollout and what wonderful times are ahead.

@Thirtytimesround

Oo anyone want to play spot the catchphrase?

“I think what the British people really want to know is…” (10 points each time he says it)

“Getting on with the job” (7 points)

“World-leading” “world-beating” etc (5 points)

Anything in Latin (3 points)

Gas-lighty fake apology like “I’m sorry if people felt that this work meeting looked like a party” (2 points)

Sleazy leer at Laura K, with or without “Thank you, Laura” (1 point per leer)

Extra points for spotting any motifs of a rising dictatorship like uniforms in background, ostentatious flags etc.

Yeah, 100%. But you forgot his latest shite catchphrase 'Captain Hindsight'.

Lying venal corrrupt shits the lot of them. All swimming in money donated by tax dodgers and Russian oligarchs.

We are an international laughing stock. I have two siblings living overseas (in 2 different continents) and people think the UK is a banana fucking republic.

BringBackCoffeeCreams · 31/01/2022 15:23

@ClawedButler

Larry for PM!

Can we start a Larry party please? I would like to vote for Larry. I am interested in:

  • Mice
  • Sleeping
  • Pretending to want a bellyrub but actually luring you close enough to gouge out your eyes
  • Them fishy stick things Webbox make, like all cat cigars or whatnot
Larry is already on the ball. I read the report but didn't notice that one of the 'events' subject to police investigation took place in De Spaffle's private flat. Good spot Larry!

Itstheprinciple · 31/01/2022 15:26

I'm sure there will be a 'changes will be made' and a 'need to move on now to get the job done' thrown in there somewhere

SirChenjins · 31/01/2022 15:31

‘Lessons learned’ will also feature. So many lessons - none of which were covered at Eton and Oxford it seems.

Josephincluded · 31/01/2022 15:31

I don’t think he will resign. If he did, surely the press would have had wind of him visiting the Queen. Doesnt she have to know in advance?

Where is the lie tho
Tanith · 31/01/2022 15:34

Larry the Cat does do better.

His job is to catch mice. He has caught some.
He is more popular with the British people of all political persuasion, and better known abroad.
He's also more photogenic, even when launching through the air at a pigeon.

thumbtom · 31/01/2022 15:38

Good Lord. This is more infuriating than I even anticipated. What an arrogant tosspot.

Viviennemary · 31/01/2022 15:39

If he says lessons will be learnt. Lets move on and deal with the realI shall scream and scream.

2holibobssofar · 31/01/2022 15:40

F

Thebodyshopolive · 31/01/2022 15:40

He's not going anywhere is he

RunningFromInsanity · 31/01/2022 15:40

Not a Kier Starmer fan but what a speech

WildRosie · 31/01/2022 15:41

The old 'lessons' chestnut. Every government has one.

I used to laugh, but lately I just feel really sad. I pity the state of the country and how asleep the general public is, that nothing is changing. People just seem to put up with it all and aren’t actually that bothered.

It’s honestly really, really sad to see what the UK has become. And there’s a chronic, patriotic way of still defending one’s own country even when the situation is so shit. I feel sad I probably won’t be able to return home anytime soon, I feel sad my children won’t have the opportunity to grow up there if things keep going as they are.

YouHaveNoAuthorityHereJackie · 31/01/2022 15:42

The death stare on Priti Patel!

youvegottenminuteslynn · 31/01/2022 15:43

"Lessons learned." Again.

He really is an insufferable, arrogant and shameless cunt.

ilovesooty · 31/01/2022 15:43

Go Keir. 'A man without shame' is spot on, and he's now said 'whatever your politics' integrity and decency is important.

SliceOfCakeCupOfTea · 31/01/2022 15:45

BoJo should have just read the lyrics to 'Don't Lose your Head' from the musical Six

Sorry, not sorry 'bout what I said
I'm just tryna have some fun
Don't worry, don't worry, don't lose your head
I didn't mean to hurt anyone
LOL, say oh well
Or go to hell
I'm sorry, not sorry 'bout what I said
Don't lose your head

Would have meant the same thing really.

ChicCroissant · 31/01/2022 15:46

WTF is Johnson doing referring to Jimmy Saville in relation to Kier Starmer? He's absolutely lost it now, dickhead!

Batholemubrecht · 31/01/2022 15:46

Quoting thatcher. Great touch.

RunningFromInsanity · 31/01/2022 15:46

All he keeps doing is bringing up Brexit.

Lessons learned...so NEXT time we have a global pandemic we all know (sort of) what not to do! Fantastic
