Morning all. Awake since 7 rest of house still snoozing, teens for hours more probably. Working tomorrow so up and already have a wash on, cuppa, then I’ll shower. Take dog for a stroll and into Homebase for some pots and compost to plant on a few houseplants that are pot bound. DH has gym this AM . Planning on a country pub this afternoon then I’ll sort dinner, pack work bag and early night. What’s your day looking like ?

Brunch at about 10:30, got one avocado so on toast with poached egg and mushroom served with oh and a big mug of coffee

Then dog walking for a good hour

Back to make banana bread and chilli for supper

I’m staying with dd1 as her dh is working away and she’s a week overdue

mamaduckbone · 15/01/2022 08:01

I'm in bed with a cup of tea at the moment.
A bit of housework needed this morning then dh and I are planning to go for a big walk, hopefully with a coffee somewhere along the way.
Ds16 is working this afternoon, Dh and ds2 are going to watch the rugby and I'm relishing the thought of the house to myself for a few hours.

LondonWolf · 15/01/2022 08:04

Walk the dog. Breakfast then a visit to a museum with kids, then a browse round Portobello Market. I’ve an essay due next week so need to tackle that too which is nagging away at the back of my mind 🙄. More dog walking, dinner - probably a take away, watch a few episodes of Euphoria or A discovery of witches.

RedRobyn2021 · 15/01/2022 08:04

I'm the lounge having a cup of tea whilst DD is playing with her toys. No plans, just walking the dog! My partner is going to work soon so it will just be a quiet day probably

Booksandwine80 · 15/01/2022 08:05

Currently in bed awaiting delivery of a cup of tea! Meeting a friend for a walk and coffee later this morning. Swimming with DH and DD this afternoon. Chinese food and catching up on tv tonight Smile

Gymrats · 15/01/2022 08:08

I’m up but not washed and dressed.

Need to have breakfast, probably porridge, then heading to the gym. Kids should be washed and dressed by the time I get home so imagine we’re going for a walk with the dog or something.
OH cooking a roast for dinner this afternoon so looking forward to that.

HardbackWriter · 15/01/2022 08:09

I'm still in bed, lying next to the three year old. The nearly one year old is also still sleeping - sadly his morning snoozing is because he was an absolute pain last night! DH is in the three year old's bed Grin. We don't normally play musical beds...

We've booked the 'nice' softplay for this morning, then DH is going out and I'll play at home with them this afternoon - DS1 has earmarked a big box that arrived to paint to turn into a car, so that'll provide some entertainment! Tomorrow we'll go to church in the morning, then round to my parents.

Ragwort · 15/01/2022 08:10

Off to work Grin - I manage a shop and my 'weekend' tends to be Thursday/Friday ... which I quite like as everywhere is quieter then. I don't have DC at home and don't mind not spending time with my DH! He will be playing golf today, gardening and getting the dinner ready.

wendz86 · 15/01/2022 08:10

Dd1 has a trial session doing cheerleading so off to that soon . Then Dd2 has a tap lesson. Going to pop to shops and get some snacks so we can have a pamper / movie evening later .

FrenchyQ · 15/01/2022 08:11

I'm on bed rest today, so will be just watching crap TV and snoozing.
Did a click and collect shop for this morning so husband will go get that in a bit. Son is making dinner .

Monkeybutt1 · 15/01/2022 08:12

Sat in bed with DS (9) enjoying my cup of tea whilst he plays in his tablet. We'll be getting up soon and going to his footy training then DH will take him for his haircut later and I'll probably do something on my fitness app. Then chicken chasseur for tea and chilled night in.

Iamblossom · 15/01/2022 08:13

Still in bed here, dh is walking dog1.

I'm going to get up, do a 30 minute yoga sesh, practice my piano. Take ds2 for second jab.

Dog1 needs walking but might bribe ds2 to do it when we get back.

Also nurse ds1 (17) who had an operation on his wrist yesterday, so codeine at the ready.

Seriously contemplating a glass of red this evening after 2 weeks on the wagon... Just not sure how to break it to the dry January thread...

Simonjt · 15/01/2022 08:16

We’re in a premier inn, it most definitely wasn’t a king size bed and the mattress was horrible, mega cheap though, so that can almost be forgiven.

We’re taking our little girl home today, so last night will be the last undisturbed sleep for a while. So I think today will be a mix of nerves, excitement and thinking wtf have we done.

Sammilouwho · 15/01/2022 08:16

Swimming lessons this AM with DD(3), food shop comes later, then some chores (more washing) and trying to get this baby out (39 weeks today, any ideas to get him out?)
Tomorrow is FIL birthday so a pub meal and board games at home.

Whereland · 15/01/2022 08:20

Up with the kids since 7, baby is still snoozing upstairs with husband. Playground this am, cycling in the park this pm. Get kids to bed and sit cuddling/feeding baby

HelloDaisy · 15/01/2022 08:22

Just about to get up and dressed but delaying as it’s so warm and cosy in bed!

I have my family coming for lunch today, there will be 12 of us including my 2 lovely aunts who haven’t seen each other in 2 years, so I’m really looking forward to us all being together.

hopeishere · 15/01/2022 08:23

Currently in bed. Going to Space NK later to spend my Christmas voucher. Food shop. Eye appointment for DS. Dog walk. Some housework as the cleaners couldn't come yesterday 😭

Invasionofthegutsnatchers · 15/01/2022 08:26

All of us have covid and are isolating. I'm really suffering from fatigue so sleeping lots, lying in bed, napping. Will clean the bathroom at some point. Also will play a game with DCs and watch a film with them. DH is feeling much better so he will cook as usual. A grocery delivery is coming today to keep us going

hivemindneeded · 15/01/2022 08:26

Bootcamp then I have a paper to write for work. Had a day off yesterday as I felt tired. Work for myself so often take a weekday break and then work the weekend. Might go to cinema with DH later if there's anything on worth seeing.

MinnieMountain · 15/01/2022 08:27

DS has got to do some work on his school project.

The oven is in pyrolytic cleaning for the first time. Once that’s done, we’ll go out for a bike ride.

Indian takeaway for supper.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 15/01/2022 08:28

Husband at work this morning so I will flit around with a duster listening to my audiobook, then make soup for lunch.

This afternoon I will listen on the radio to my beloved football team losing again whilst giving myself a pedicure (first half) and manicure (second half)

Tonight will be TV and a bottle of 🍷 and a bag of peanuts 🥜

overthethamesfromyou · 15/01/2022 08:30

That's so exciting! Home from hospital?

Dog walking here too and sorting out the veg beds. May have takeaway with telly tonight.

AgrippinaT · 15/01/2022 08:32

That sounds nice OP. Perfect Saturday.

Attempt to get the 3 kiddos dressed and then into town for a hot chocolate and macarons. Pickup middle child's Nomination bracelet. Then movie and popcorn this afternoon in the lounge! Might actually wash my hair today 😬

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 15/01/2022 08:33

We're all chilling on the sofa with a film on that DS wanted to watch. It's been a really busy non-stop week so I'm relishing a bit of down time.
DH is about to make bacon sandwiches and once we've dragged ourselves off the sofa we'll head into town to pick up a few bits and DH will get his hair cut.
DS has a homework project to do this afternoon and DD will probably 'help' and then we're taking DS's remote controlled car to the park for a drive.
Just a nice slow paced day I'm hoping!

lucysmam · 15/01/2022 08:36

We're off to town shortly. I start my new job on Monday & want to pick up another pair of bottoms and couple of tops - probably from Primark, I'm not fussed if Primark stuff gets mucky.

Dd2 has birthday & Christmas money burning a hole in her pocket too.

When we get back we're going to sit down and split the house-work type jobs a bit further, since I'll have less time on my hands.

I want to plan dd1's birthday cake too & order any bits I need for that...I'm thinking of doing a twitch button/icon 🤔

Tonight, dd2 has plans for test revision, probably with a film in the background. & I expect dd1 will carry on with her Sims since she did her homework last night. I'll do a few more rounds of the socks I'm crocheting for dd1.

Not a clue what's for tea yet; I'm hoping their dad might go to the little asda while we're out.

@Simonjt I imagine you're bursting with excitement! I hope all goes well, and you at least get some sleep tonight!
