Morning all. Awake since 7 rest of house still snoozing, teens for hours more probably. Working tomorrow so up and already have a wash on, cuppa, then I’ll shower. Take dog for a stroll and into Homebase for some pots and compost to plant on a few houseplants that are pot bound. DH has gym this AM . Planning on a country pub this afternoon then I’ll sort dinner, pack work bag and early night. What’s your day looking like ?

Was going to be waiting in for a furniture delivery but they came at 7.30am so instead we're heading to Costco in a bit and will then do wardrobe assembly this afternoon.

caulkheaded · 15/01/2022 08:38

We’d have Covid. Today will be some cleaning, trying out a couple of new recipes, zoom games with friends we can’t see in person and some painting. Tomorrow is online church, seeing friends online for roast dinner (each cooking in our houses and eating together), Pilates video and some reading.

WakeUpLockie · 15/01/2022 08:39

Swimming lesson for one kid (now, 8:15)
Stagecoach for another later
DH and child going to watch a local football game later.
I will try and watch TV in bed at some point 😄

confusedofengland · 15/01/2022 08:40

Have booked the day off work (work every other Saturday) as it's DH's birthday & I have annual leave to use up.

Just heating up some frozen pains au chocolat to take him for breakfast in bed. Then will head back downstairs & let the Dses watch Saturday Mash Up.

This afternoon we are going to the cinema to watch Ghostbusters new film (free tickets as we complained last time we went). Quick pop into town, few shops & bank while we are there.

Then home for hot dogs in front of The Masked Singer.

Having a relaxing weekend as next couple of days very stressful- taking DS2 to GOSH then my Grandad's funeral plus working a lot next week.

ThisIsNotARealAvo · 15/01/2022 08:41

Currently still in bed watching After Life with a cup of tea. After this episode I'm going to town to take a couple of things back and do some other errands. I'll probably spend the rest of the day tidying up and then we are making pizza for dinner. We are on a mission to save money and part of that is avoiding takeaways.

wejammin · 15/01/2022 08:43

DH is taking the kids to parkour at 9, I have charity board training from 10 until 2, and at some point a joiner is coming round to measure up for new doors.
The afternoon will be homework, Lego and gaming for the kids, more decluttering and ebaying for me.
Kids will want to watch masked singer and the wheel later, and I picked up 2 new books on reservation from the library yesterday so that's my evening sorted.

egglette · 15/01/2022 08:44

Currently toying between a quick tidy up downstairs, catching up on some work, or doing a small amount of DIY before DH wakes up. All fun Grin not intending to be a martyr, I've just been struggling a bit to keep on top of things at the moment and think I just need to get a bit behind me to feel better, before we have a lazy weekend at home or head out for a walk somewhere.

fairylightsandwaxmelts · 15/01/2022 08:44

I'm still in bed but DH is up with the dog.

I'm a dog walker and have a lunchtime walk booked in, but no plans apart from that. Last week was my first full week back at it since Christmas and my body is still adjusting Grin

Vampirethriller · 15/01/2022 08:46

We've walked the dog in the frozen park, found icicles and now we're having pineapple, yoghurt and shortbread for breakfast. I'm contemplating a big Aldi shop. Going to do a Davina workout later, allotment this afternoon.

autumnboys · 15/01/2022 08:46

Currently in bed. DS3 has a riding lesson at 10am. DS1 is getting ready for work. DS2 has mocks starting next week. I have a laundry mountain to scale!

SailorGeri · 15/01/2022 08:47

I'm on day 9 of isolation. I'm debating getting the sewing machine out and making a dress as I've had the pattern and fabric for ages. I've also ordered an air fryer so will look forward to using that. I might do some family history too.

TenoringBehind · 15/01/2022 08:48

Still in bed but will get up soon.
Dog walks x 2. Long one with the younger dogs, short slow one with the old dog.
Laundry and ironing.
Supervise homework.
Another walk with the youngest dog.
Baking with ds2.
Take dh to an airport.
Wine and a film upon return.

Lulu1919 · 15/01/2022 08:49

Adult daughter and fiancé coming for brunch ...fruits,croissants,bacon,crusty rolls, yogurt and granola
Then a walk by the sea
This evening ...tv and possibly cheesy chips on the sofa !!

troppibambini6 · 15/01/2022 08:51

I'm sat with a coffee dh is flapping about trying to get football boots on the two ds.
I'm going with one to football then dropping dd at a friends. It freezing here and not looking forward to freezing at the side of the pitch!
This afternoon I'm finishing decorating and dog walking while dh takes the kids to a ninja place to burn off some energy.
Something will get shoved in the slow cooker for tea.

dramallama55 · 15/01/2022 08:51

Lounging in bed at the moment, it looks freezing and foggy outside so quite nice being snuggled here with the heating on.
Moving house in a few weeks so going to start the major decluttering process today which may include a few tip runs.
Ds has a football match but not sure if it's going ahead due to the weather here.
Will hopefully get an hour reading in somewhere with a coffee and a biscuit (my little treat).
Then a takeaway and film tonight.

Boboparadise · 15/01/2022 08:51

@Simonjt

We’re in a premier inn, it most definitely wasn’t a king size bed and the mattress was horrible, mega cheap though, so that can almost be forgiven.

We’re taking our little girl home today, so last night will be the last undisturbed sleep for a while. So I think today will be a mix of nerves, excitement and thinking wtf have we done.

This sounds intriguing.....tell us more Smile
deathofastrawberry · 15/01/2022 08:54

Eating my porridge with a coffee right now, will shower after then walk the dog with DS (6.5 months) in the baby carrier. Then at 1:30 I get some 'me-time' (yay) as I'm going to the hairdressers Smile also need to go to co-op to get some bits.. rest of the day just having some family time at home! Might do some crocheting later once baby is in bed, making a granny square blanket and only done 3 squares so far in the space of 3 weeks Blush hope everyone has a lovely day x

maddiemookins16mum · 15/01/2022 08:54

DH is at work (just an early so home by 4pm). DD is in bed then off to her Saturday job at 11am in the local tea room until 5pm. DMIL is pottering in her annexe (she moved in with us in September, love her to bits). I’ve got housework to do, washing and want to put the base of a cottage pie in the slow cooker for Sunday dinner tomorrow. We’re having an Indian Takeaway tonight (fortnightly ritual). I need to do some reports for work this afternoon and then I’ll just slob on the sofa and watch TV (snooze).

QueenMabby · 15/01/2022 08:56

Still in bed but am going to get up and shower once I’ve posted this (honest!).
DH has brought me toast and coffee in bed so I’ve had that and then I’m meeting a dear friend for a walk - she’s recently gone back to work full time so a Saturday morning walk is our new catch up time. DD has her online creative writing club this morning and is going to a friend’s this afternoon. DS is mid-mocks so will be revising. DH waiting in as we’ve sold some bikes and they’re being collected. He and I may sort out the garage this afternoon. Oh the excitement!

Ifailed · 15/01/2022 08:56

Today is marmalade day, so will put on a wash and then get squeezing and cutting. Of course I've managed to put a small cut on a finger peeling veg the other day, so that'll sting.

Nonamenoplacetogo · 15/01/2022 08:57

I’m about to go for a run for about an hour. Youngest dd watching tv, the rest in bed. First Saturday in ages that we are all in the same house altogether with no football/work etc so going to do brunch and just potter around. Dropping dd2 in town later then home and I’ll make a curry.

BananasApplesKiwi · 15/01/2022 08:59

Cleaning , tidying so that tomorrow I can declutter when dh isn’t working
Dc watching tv/phones/iPad so I can get on

IAmSantaOhYesIAm · 15/01/2022 09:03

Love reading these threads!
Today I have so far put a wash on but come back to bed with a cuppa to read my book but I’m actually on mumsnet!
This morning will be some housework, making soup and preparing dinner for tonight, then I’m meeting my friend at 2 for coffee.

I've seen your posts around but missed this, so now being nosey.

I am jealous of everyone's nice days. Mine will be criss crossing the county dropping children at sports events, missing all their game time and then picking them back up. usually car share but a covid outbreak amongst other families have put pay to that. More of the same tomorrow.

emummy · 15/01/2022 09:05

Just had breakfast & will go for a run. Heading to Edinburgh with DD2 this afternoon as she has a drama audition tomorrow morning. So staying in a premier inn, and out for dinner. Tomorrow will head home via Glasgow to visit Dd1 who’s at uni there. Dh and Ds will have a lad’s day that includes a haircut and trip to the bottle bank.
Good luck Simonjt
