What’s DH coming home with?

Sent DH to Aldi with a list of about £40 worth of food.

It’s just pinged on my banking app that he has spent £84! He will be home in ten minutes…

Any guesses what he is coming home with?

I’m going for some sort of middle aisle electric saw that will sit in the shed for the next 10 years unused!

I still think shredder. And possibly a thermal mug.

If he isn’t home yet, I’m wondering if he is off his tits somewhere on haribo.

Lots and lots of haribo.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/01/2022 16:26

@HaggisBurger

Unless Aldi has started stocking really good sex toys there is literally no excuse for this delay in reporting back ….
Exactly!

Come on, OP...you started this thread, you owe us an answer!

sundaydayisnotmyfundayday · 09/01/2022 16:26

The people demand answers!!!

Lovemusic33 · 09/01/2022 16:27

Obviously the shopping wasn’t for op, he’s disappeared to his mates house with 50 cans of beer and a bag of crisps?

Whatayear81 · 09/01/2022 16:27

A few years
He’ll have wiped out all the shelves in Aldi

Now? Probably just a few shopping bags he’ll walk in with

Whatayear81 · 09/01/2022 16:27

I’m waiting for this to turn in to an affair thread and be moved to Relationships

A car waxing set, three dog beds in different sizes (double points if you don’t actually own a dog), some garden fencing, a scented candle that supposedly smells exactly the same as a Jo Malone one but absolutely does not, and a cello.

@thenewduchessoflapland

Has he been in the random shit Aisle?

Does anyone else call it the random shit Aisle?

Btw I absolutely love the RSA.

I call it the aisle of doom. I never leave there without something
theNumbersStation · 09/01/2022 16:38

Has he purchased the services of a member of staff to unpack?

DeathMetalMum · 09/01/2022 16:41

Prices have gone up so much recently its probably just the shopping. Placemarking

Vapeyvapevape · 09/01/2022 16:42

We call it the Aisle of Shite .

TheBlueBear88 · 09/01/2022 16:43

With the way prices are rising, it's not unfeasible that the £84 was indeed spent on the "£40 shopping list." It's staggering how much prices have sneaked up recently

Troublesometooth · 09/01/2022 16:44

So sorry everyone, he came back on time but then he was obviously so exhausted from his shopping trip he couldn’t possibly put any of it away, or entertain the kids tor the last hour!

Well it turned out to be nothing exciting at all! He lost the list and so “used his initiative” meaning I’ve got a full weekly shop of stuff I didn’t need and don’t have cupboard space for!

He also has a random habit of buying 2 of everything for no reason! So he remembered cereal was on the list, and bought 2 boxes of the same type, 2 bags of penne, 2 packs of spaghetti! Apparently this will “help me out” because next time I shop I won’t need to buy as much (but will need to remember which usual shopping items he bought 2 of last time so I don’t need!)

Sorry to disappoint you all! It really wasn’t exciting at all!

No laminator then Sad

I want a laminator Sad

maslinpan · 09/01/2022 16:52

That's so boring! You could have lied just a little bit.

ThreeLocusts · 09/01/2022 16:53

Perhaps it's an achievement of sorts to spend twice the budget on just more of the same... thanks for an entertaining thread.

forlornlorna · 09/01/2022 16:53

Mine come home with step ladders. But he's only 5 foot 5 so needs must

Hellocatshome · 09/01/2022 16:56

Can you send him back for something more exciting.

MrsMop1964 · 09/01/2022 16:56

next time get him to put the list on his phone so he can't lose it, that's what I do if my daughter goes shopping for me.

KittensTeaAndCake · 09/01/2022 16:57

A ten pack of fleece lined womens leggings in maroon

In maroon 🤣 Everything IS always maroon isn't it? Thermal gloves, hiking boots, rain mac, crocs... 😆

Very disappointing OP!!!

Echobelly · 09/01/2022 17:02

Sure he's not hiding a kayak somewhere OP? Grin

marmitecake · 09/01/2022 17:02

Six Ebananas and six Marcus Radishfords as they are on BOGOF and going on EBay for twice the price. He's clever that DH of yours, op.

Cakecakecheese · 09/01/2022 17:03

@Troublesometooth a tip for the future, take a picture of the list and send it to him so he has the list on his phone. Definitely add cat polisher to the list Grin

1forAll74 · 09/01/2022 17:05

He hasn't yet told you about the wheelbarrow he bought, he was too tired to bring it in at the moment.
