What’s DH coming home with?

Sent DH to Aldi with a list of about £40 worth of food.

It’s just pinged on my banking app that he has spent £84! He will be home in ten minutes…

Any guesses what he is coming home with?

I’m going for some sort of middle aisle electric saw that will sit in the shed for the next 10 years unused!

@Mitzi067

Is he home yet...... or is this a joke! Put folk out of their misery!
He came back about quarter to five yesterday…

@threatmatrix

He used your money? Why couldn’t he buy the shopping himself? Whoever goes to the shop in my house pays.
He used the joint account!

He was home ages ago.

Laden down with pasta. And cereal.

And a tiny bit of shame Grin

For future use: When I was shielding, my lovely DH had to do the shopping. We had quite a few issues as often the shops just didn't have the items. We (he) soon learnt to call me and ask and not try and wing it. This has happened to him and I've sent a text with the list on (actually quite a good plan if yours is one that loses bits of paper).

Couldn't put it away eh? So never has to deal with the inconvenience caused by over-purchasing? Don't fall for that one OP. Shopping and putting away are the same job - especially for people who 'use their initiative'! Indeed, doesn't initiative also translate into meal planning?

PeachyPeachTrees · 11/01/2022 12:21

If he'd bought the right amount instead of double, he could have been in the shop less time and put stuff away quickly!

A care of 6 bottles of wine! 😄

Thanks to this thread, I convinced myself I needed a shredder.

And ice cream.
