How do you drink Baileys?

My grandma gave me a 1ltr bottle of Baileys for Christmas, I've never even tried it before but I'm going to give it a go! How do you drink it? Is it like a shot type thing like people would drink whiskey/brandy etc? Just pour a glass full and drink it like a boozy milkshake? Mix it with anything?

*sometimes!!

icebearforpresident · 08/01/2022 18:47

I’m not saying that I’ve mixed it with chocolate yazoo milkshakes, but I bet if I had it would have been delicious.

(Ok, I have. And it was)

InFiveMins · 08/01/2022 18:48

I drink it with milk and an ice cube. Lovely.

@GiveMyHeadPeaceffs

I drink mine like this; measure of Bailey's, measure of toffee vodka and ice cubes made from really strong espresso. I can only manage a couple but bloody hell they're delicious Grin
I bow down to you for this Grin

Bowl of coco pops.

Use as milk.

You're welcome.

Hollyhobbi · 08/01/2022 19:08

Make a Baileys coffee. Just use Baileys instead of whiskey! Enjoy.

This year I have discovered that hot Baileys is delicious!

SpookyScarySkeletons · 08/01/2022 19:33

Open bottle, choose small glass, add ice, add baileys, sip slowly until you are in a lovely warm baileys induced haze

You are an evil genius but I bow down to you 😂
BoodleBug51 · 08/01/2022 19:36

Love it in strong coffee.

And just over ice.

ISeeTheLight · 08/01/2022 19:36

On the rocks (like whiskey) - I keep it in the fridge but still add ice as neat I think it needs to be very cold.

With ice cream - vanilla, chocolate, honeycomb etc all go

In hot chocolate

All delicious!

scrivette · 08/01/2022 19:37

Pour over crushed ice and enjoy - like a grown up slush puppie, be careful you forget it's alcoholic.

On its own in a nice glass.

I like the sound of it over ice cream, I might try that now.

Tillyvonpantsalo · 08/01/2022 19:40

Make a chocolate martini, delicious.
Hot chocolate, coffee, neat with ice.

Thethreecs · 08/01/2022 19:40

I love it just with Ice, although crushed ice rather than cubes as it tends to cling to cubes and you feel a bit Blush trying to suck it off the ice.

My other fave is baileys and brandy, with Ice, love that warm feeling in my stomach.

Then baileys coffee, made like an Irish coffee just with baileys.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 08/01/2022 19:41

Infrequently

ConstanceL · 08/01/2022 19:43

In coffee or over ice cream, or just straight with ice!

TinaYouFatLard · 08/01/2022 19:43

Be like Del Boy and have a cherryade mixer.

wineandchocolateforthewin · 08/01/2022 19:45

No ice, just chilled from the fridge

WeAllHaveWings · 08/01/2022 19:45

Straight from fridge with a single ice cube, sipped
Or
Floating over a whisky liquor such as Glayva, sipped
Or
Floating over sambuca, knocked back as a shot (usually on night out)

Like the idea above of having it with contreau.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 08/01/2022 19:45

Over ice. It's also very nice poured onto ice cream Grin

GoGoGretaDoll · 08/01/2022 19:46

I top mine up with almond milk! Means I don't wake up with a turrible thirst in the morning. Or shushed up with icecubes in the blender. And in hot chocolate. And coffee. And on ice cream.

I also have a house rule about only drinking Bailey's in December, or I'd be the size of a house.
