I’ve been on mumsnet for about 18 years and you know what, if I read about people putting ducks in a row once more I might go mental.
What phrase do you hate.

‘Crack on’ or ‘You crack on’
You do you.

HoldingTheDoor · 08/01/2022 12:41

Give your head a wobble. It makes me want to slap people when they say that. I've only seen it on MN though.

Mrsjayy · 08/01/2022 12:41

I also hate Ducks in a row ! Bunfight used to drive me nuts but it seems to have died out which suits me.

Ohmycron · 08/01/2022 12:42

I allow all of these to be banned. Well done. 🏅

Would you accept "Fast forward to six months later"?

TooMuchPaper · 08/01/2022 12:42

Ohmycron · 08/01/2022 12:43

Think.

As in “a hobby, think crocheting “

You mean

“A hobby, similar to /like, for example, crocheting “

BiscuitLover3678 · 08/01/2022 12:46

What on earth is a bun fight ?

LaBellina · 08/01/2022 12:46

Penis beaker, it’s a vile thought. Sorry to pp for using the word vile.

LizBennet · 08/01/2022 12:46

eddiemairswife · 08/01/2022 12:46

"Didn't want to read and run." by people who have nothing to say, but want to sound sympathetic, (and see their name on the screen)

HoldingTheDoor · 08/01/2022 12:46

When people refer to their child's body parts as tiny. They're two, of course their hands are going to be small compared to an adult's but they're perfectly proportionate to their size. Incredibly petty I know but every time I see it I want to start singing "Your tiny hand is frozen" and it annoys me.

WorraLiberty · 08/01/2022 12:47

"I couldn't read and run".

Why is it necessary to declare that? Just type your reply like everyone else. Confused

It makes the poster sound so self important, like they're so very busy but just had to treat the OP to their opinion first.

HoldingTheDoor · 08/01/2022 12:47

"Vote with your feet." I can't bear it.

suckingonchillidogs · 08/01/2022 12:47

Hate the smug HTH

TooMuchPaper · 08/01/2022 12:47

Balonz. Every single baby name thread seems to have Balonz as a suggestion. It stopped being funny the first time.

NoWordForFluffy · 08/01/2022 12:48

'Wow. Just wow.' This one really grates on me, but I'm not sure why! 🤷‍♀️

Thatsplentyjack · 08/01/2022 12:48

I've read an awful lot of "having cuddles", "having snuggle time" "snuggle up" usually when talking about babies/children. I suppose it should be a nice thing but it drives me mad. Also people calling themselves mummy/daddy. Usually are talking to adults, use the words mum and dad!
