Thanks @Gally123, I was about to get round to it but been a very strange time for me lately and things have been put on the back burner. Hopefully contribute more to the group in a week or two when I’m sorted. Happy New Year to everyone 🥂🥂
Gally123 · 31/12/2021 09:38
That's okay, @Chrissols. I did not want to lose our lifeline, when we had it all back to normal. Happy New Year.
wfh21 · 31/12/2021 10:11
Thanks @Gally123, momentary panic set in for a minute ðŸ˜. This is such a supportive thread for us lone workers.
Whitestar55 · 31/12/2021 10:24

Chrissols · 31/12/2021 11:11
Hi, can anyone tag @Lovemydaxie in, it doesn't seem to work for me?
Chrissols · 31/12/2021 11:12
Forget that, it looks like it may have worked now 😊
flutterby18 · 31/12/2021 11:54
Thanks @Gally123 - Hi everyone and hope you all have a lovely New Year
danblack87 · 31/12/2021 12:09
@Gally123 Many thanks for setting this up. I would like to wish a Very Happy New Year to all. Unfortunately, I have been struck with the dreaded COVID. Feel pretty shite right now. I found out yesterday morning. I went out once with my daughter and fella to get my last minute food shop on 23rd December. Negative flow test before I went. Negative flow test Xmas day (daughter test positive) so we were unable to have the planned Xmas dinner together. Continued to test negative and finally yesterday morning I felt so crook ... daughter came out of isolation and brought me a test and it was positive. Un-bloody believable ... Stay safe everyone.
Gally123 · 31/12/2021 12:36
@danblack87 - sorry you are feeling so poorly. I wear my mask all the time when I go out and even when postman comes to the door, and when my family popped round to exchange gifts, cannot be too careful, esp as not managed to book my booster yet (only get offered appointments about 100 miles away, an hour or so by train!) Take care.
Actually had some dictations this morning with DICT8 that were manageable.
wfh21 · 31/12/2021 13:02
How frustrating when there is plenty of work, I'm willing, but the dictation is bloody awful !!!! Oh well that's me done for the year 😀
Happy New Year everyone x
Lovemydaxie · 31/12/2021 15:15

Gally123 · 31/12/2021 16:12
well, I think that's me done for the day - just had to transcribe a letter on a three year old girl who died just before Christmas.

@Gally123 - cheers for the tag! Only just seen it . Happy New Year everyone!.. Lets hope for lots of brill dictations this year! @danblack87 - hope you recover soon! What a truly horrible virus
Gally123 · 01/01/2022 10:38
@carosel2 I don't think all the tags worked for some reason, but it does sometimes seem to be a bit hit and miss over notifications.
Whitestar55 · 03/01/2022 21:10
Happy New Year everyone, hope you all had a good time. @danblack87, Hope you're feeling better.
danblack87 · 04/01/2022 09:03
@ Carousel 2: Day 5 of COVID isolation and actually feeling slightly better. Coughing much less, every muscle between my ribs hurts. Sneezing down to 25%!!!! Testing result day after next so hopefully will be back up and running early next week.
carosel2 · 04/01/2022 10:01
@danblack87 - you poor soul! my youngest son has had it over crimbo and his daughter, fortunately, they weren't too bad, my husband got it in October and knocked him for a six, I have a big family and me and my daughter have managed to escape it so far, cant believe it as just about everyone else has had it but us even the new variant, which is supposed to be rife, actually, I may have had it but we have no flo tests left, just waiting for a delivery but by the time they come we may be testing negative from positive if you get my meaning. Take care, nothing on DICT8 today but then didn't really expect anything and T-pro down to zilch! lol
danblack87 · 04/01/2022 10:05
@carosel2: There are a few tasks on Dict8 for me today ... but I am just taking it easy and doing odd ones here and there when I get the energy. I have not taken the xmas tree down yet and still need to do cleaning hahhaha. All can wait until I have a little more energy and it doesn't hurt to breathe on exertion!!!
Trace000 · 04/01/2022 11:21
Hi everyone, I came across this thread accidentally while googling Dict8 pay lol. I have been typing for Dict8 since 2014 and like everyone, am curious about the lack of pay rise.....how long has it been this way?!
PS Happy New Year! May it be a better one than last year....and the year before that lol
Workingfromhomenow · 04/01/2022 11:49
Happy New Year to everyone and hope 2022 will be a better one for us all. It's a bit of a strain to get back into typing after the Xmas and New Year break but do seem to be getting a few through.
@Trace000 - I've been typing for Dict8 for 10 years and never had a pay rise!
