Recently discontinued products- this is not trivial!

After searching fruitlessly for it over the last couple of weeks I've just googled and discovered that they've discontinued Baileys Haagen Daz!
DP is going to be devastated, not looking forward to breaking it to him.

Can't find Sainsbury's own brand shredded beetroot since the Christmas stuff started appearing either, I usually get through at least a jar a week, even more in summer.

Rounds off a crap year nicely.

Can you even do a local rag sadface with a mask on?

I think it may have been discontinued over a year ago. We tried to get it last Christmas and couldn't find it even then. I was gutted Sad.

I can live without the Baileys one but would be seriously pissed off if they ever did away with Strawberries and Cream or Belgian Chocolate.

My DS is whittering because the Dulce de Leche one is only in the small multipack not the 500ml.

Salted Caramel (which is in the 500ml) isn't the same . Apparently .

I haven't forgiven Sainsbury for discontuing their peanut butter ice cream with the chocolate wafer crispy bits . And that was 20+ years ago ( I bear grudges well)

I'm still pissed that Ben and Jerry discontinued their Oh My Apple Pie, the bastards Envy I emailed them and they were sorry but I can't put sorry in a bowl with squirty cream can I!!! Angry

Now hoping that the fact that it's still on the website means they'll bring it back once the seasonal stuff has gone.

DP is predictably gutted. He reckons that if he'd known, he would have bought an extra freezer and stockpiled. He's not joking.

married Is shredded beetroot something I could achieve by further cutting up my beetroot slices or is this a type of beetrooty goodness I have to go out and buy?

I feel for you. I am still bereft about Toast Toppers being discontinued and that was years ago. Heinz need to reinstate it soon.

According to Häagen-Dazs twitter it was discontinued June 2018!

Tesco are still doing shredded beetroot if you have one nearby.

Tesco own brand frozen vegetarian bacon and hotdogs. Sad
I keep trying, but they never seem to reappear.

@Grimchmas I eat it with salads or anything else cold and savoury!
I have some digestive issues so eat salad rather than vegetables most days.
Shredded beetroot is somehow smoother and slightly softer than the regular sliced stuff @Prokupatuscrakedatus, I've not had anything else quite like it.
I cannot begin to calculate how many jars I've gone through over the years. Don't know if they use different vinegar for each variety but the latest jar of sliced replacement was too tangy and the diced stuff was the wrong texture somehow Sad

We definitely had it later than that, must have been some stock to use up.

@marriednotdead I just googled and I can only get sliced, diced or grated (buraczki domowe) where I am. I love beetroot.
