Had some YouTube recommendations which lead me to this.

What’s been the best concert you’ve been to & who do you wish you’d got a chance to see live?

My favourite was Pink - just absolutely phenomenal. Her voice blew me away.

I wish I’d got the chance to see Tina Turner live.

OP posts:

Honestly Queen with Adam Lambert. And bizarrely The Darkness!

OhWhyNot · 19/12/2021 16:18

Michael Jackson out performed anyone the show was brilliant
Though Prince and James Brown were close

Would have loved to see original Queen and Tina Turner

Best concert ever U2 at Croke Park , Dublin June 1985 .The line up was REM, Squeeze, in Tua Nua. It was one of the happiest days of my life

Saw Freddie Mercury and Queen at Slane Castle July 1986 .Absolutely brilliant .A day of mud and fun. Unforgettable

Adele at a small venue here in Munich 2011.Just her and her band .Her voice was just amazing

The Eagles 2015 I couldn't believe I had finally got to see them

Wish I had seen George Michael

@FlipFlops4Me I was wondering why that concert wasn't being mentioned, thought maybe I was weirder than I realised! Definitely would go to any lengths to be able to go to that one.

I've seen a few, struggling to figure out the best! I saw Bruce and the E Street Band quite late on, and him solo at the RAH which was great. Saw Neil Young at Hyde Park... Chris Rhea was wonderfully surprising, so much fun and joy exuded it was so infectious! My favourite might have to be 30 Seconds to Mars; but that might be because it was with my daughter. Stood at the rail screaming 'closer to the edge' like a teen; hearing the song still makes me Grin!

U2 in Manchester the Vertigo tour. The atmosphere was incredible. 2005 I think.

Phil Collins in the round at Earl's Court. Phenomenal energy. 2 hour concert and he didn't stop moving.

I would love to have seen Queen with Freddie Mercury and been at Live Aid.

The Queen 1992 tribute concert is on YouTube and is just incredible.

I watched Adele's Glastonbury set on TV in 2016 and was blown away.

I didn't go to the Cream reunion shows at RAH or the Ģeorge Harrison memorial. Those shows looked and sounded superb.

Bruce Springsteen Park de Prince Paris,
George Michael Royal Albert Hall,
Van Morrison at the Wamu theatre Madison square gardens NY performing Astral Weeks and
my love , Paolo Nuttini at Norwich UEA one of the best gigs I have ever been to.

Idontlikeworms · 19/12/2021 19:28

Best ever was Eric Clapton

madaboutrunning · 19/12/2021 19:33

Rammstein at Milton Keynes in 2019
U2 at Twickenham in 2005
REM (with the Cranberries and Radiohead) at Milton Keynes Bowl in 1995
Pink Floyd at Earls Court in 1994

Wish I'd seen Queen.

ImmutableSexQueen · 19/12/2021 19:44

Saw Bowie, Queen, Pulp multiple times. Saw Prince once. Best ever probably Idlewild at Manchester (the night they were late) or Wakefield (after a few years off). Or, The Gloaming (another band I saw multiple times) whenever they played. They were amazing, every time.

ImmutableSexQueen · 19/12/2021 19:46

Who did I miss? I've seen Nick Cave but there were lots of gigs of his that I didn't get to. That was a terrible waste! I saw Radiohead quite often, and The Unbelievable Truth even more.

carlyswirly · 19/12/2021 19:57

@PhilCornwall1 I was there for kylie too 😬

Eden is my favourite concert venue - we go to most shows they do

4kinell · 19/12/2021 20:01

Best I've ever seen Bruce Springsteen hands down . Wish I'd been around to see Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochran live , both died before I was born

Eredoor · 19/12/2021 20:14

Leonard Cohen, several times between 2008 and 2013
Tom Waits in the mid 80s
Queen at Knebworth 1986

Eredoor · 19/12/2021 20:18

And I wish I had seen Elvis

PussInBin20 · 19/12/2021 20:20

Coldplay - the effects were awesome too.

PhilCornwall1 · 19/12/2021 20:40

We've got tickets for September to see Bryan Adams there again. Fingers crossed it goes ahead.

ToooSensitive · 19/12/2021 20:49

Madonna’s Blond Ambition Tour - old Wembley 1990 and Coldplay at Glastonbury 2016. It was worth enduring the weekend of rain and mud.

ToooSensitive · 19/12/2021 20:50

And also Kylie at Glastonbury. We were right at the front.

The TV doesn’t do her justice. She is absolutely absolutely beautiful.

Anjo2011 · 19/12/2021 20:52

I saw George Michael on his Symphonica Tour in 2012 at The Royal Opera House , Covent Garden. It was incredible.

User135644 · 19/12/2021 20:53

@Pedallleur

Seen everyone until I stopped in 2010 due to costs. I wasn't paying £100 to see acts I had paid £15 for at their peak. Most memorable? Springsteen 1981. 2 x nights, mcr Apollo. 3rd row, centre stage. Hitting his peak. His NEC shows 2 weeks later were equally stunning but in a bigger venue. The 1985 Born in the USA tour made him a superstar. Bon Jovi at Bradford City Hall on the Slippery When Wet tour. Pandemonium. You knew they were going to be massive. Tina Turner, Break The Rules tour. Her comeback that launched her 2nd career. An up and coming Bryan Adams as support act promoting his new album Reckless. Lots of others best caught on their way up. Nowadays, nobodies seem to play in 10000 seat venues at £100 plus
Just watched the No Nukes live gig Springsteen's just released (from 1979). He was incredible back then.
User135644 · 19/12/2021 20:55

Dead envious of the poster who's seen the Eagles.

Obviously getting on now, but they're playing Liverpool, London and Edinburgh in June.
