I have a dodgy uncle and avoid the garage he works at...

Mixitupalot · 12/11/2021 19:07

My dad will no longer go into in the local shop as they made him break £20 for 1p. He was fuming and hasn’t set foot in it for the last 4 years!

I boycott a hotel a few miles away, the wedding coordinator sleeps with her clients and breaks up relationships, marries the “groom” then cheats again. It’s been going on about 18 years she’s 4 marriages in so far.

SpangoDweller · 12/11/2021 19:08

Spain. I don’t tell my parents when I visit 😅

TawdryBrush · 12/11/2021 19:09

I've got Talk Talk, Vodafone and Scottish Power on mine.

Also my local post office and newsagents, but I guess that's of no interest to anyone not local to me Grin

Cubitalfossa · 12/11/2021 19:11

Barry the mother clucking ice cream van that used to wake my babies up at half nine at night.

Bearnecessity · 12/11/2021 20:01

Had me in stitches these thank you...good to know we are not alone...

Aviva car insurance, tsb bank and the shop near my work because the cashier calls people love/darling/sweetheart. Also considering the shop near my house because they've painted it grey!!!!

ScurrilousRumour · 12/11/2021 20:14

Local Card Factory because the woman at the till calls everyone love/sweetheart/hun, and then asks if you want sellotape/stamps/whatever she's pushing that day, and if you say yes she'll ask if you want one or two.
I put what I was buying on the till and firmly said 'just these, thank you', paid and legged it.
Never going back, brings out my inner rage!

stealingbeauty · 12/11/2021 20:16

Talk Talk and BT

MysticCT · 12/11/2021 20:19

Currys, due to their terrible 'Whatever happens' care plan.

Ladyface · 12/11/2021 20:23

Currys/PC World after I ordered a tv online and it came without a remote control or power cable. It took weeks to sort out and they couldn't have been less interested. I should've known better as growing up, they were on my parents blacklist.

MintJulia · 12/11/2021 20:25

VW Audi
Vodafone

The local wildlife charity Grin

BorsetshireBanality · 12/11/2021 20:26

Well after they tried to scam an elderly relative - Homesure warranties.

HeyDuddy · 12/11/2021 20:31

Yes!
Amazon
Booking.com
Admiral
Ikea

All for terrible customer service

Barwell76 · 12/11/2021 21:08

Carpetright because their fitter put a nail through our gas pipe and carpetright were not bothered in the slightest.

Halifax bank for reasons I can't even remember!

dayswithaY · 12/11/2021 21:12

I caught a Carpetright fitter rummaging through my kitchen cupboards and drawers, and looking inside a storage jar. He didn't know I could see him from the conservatory. Dodgy as fuck.

Zarene · 12/11/2021 21:14

I want to know what the wildlife charity did to PP!

It’s Snappy Snaps for us, after summer-holiday-photo-gate of 1995.

NannyGythaOgg · 12/11/2021 21:22

Vodafone: 30 years ago (at least) I cancelled an account online with them. They took the order on line and the payment details online but cancelling 'had' to be done by snailmail. Just fuck the fuck off.

Midland Bank (as it was then). They wanted to charge me £20 (or even more, I can't remember the exact sum) because I was overdrawn by £6 for less than a day, way back in the 1980s. I didn't pay and moved my account - They said it wasn't their policy to 'make exceptions'. I said it wasn't my policy 'to deal with companies that put policies before customers' and they finally agreed to waive the charges - and I followed up by moving my account.

I know neither of them get away with this now but neither of them will ever see any custom from me again.

Bearnecessity · 13/11/2021 08:04

Yes what did the wildlife charity do?

I have had Vodaphone and workman issues too. I have also had trouble with Tesco but for some reason didn't include them on my first list....so ingrained is my acceptance that some behaviour is vaguely the norm when really it shouldn't be.

Eon
The British heart foundation
PETA

RicherThanYew · 13/11/2021 08:14

Local Post Office. They set up 2 years ago on the main road and because ONE local elderly gent voiced a concern about the unsafe parking, they came at him with verbal threats and so did many others in the community. It was awful so fuck them.
Superdrug - nope. Customer service crap.
Marks and Spencer - nope. Customer service crap.
The Body Shop - nope. Customer service crap.

Ginisatonic · 13/11/2021 08:16

So many!
Eon
Carphone warehouse
Currys
Talk talk
John Lewis - sad about this one. I actually love John Lewis stores but they let me down badly with a delivery last week and so for the moment they are on my black list.

Local bakery due to a horribly rude and bullying member of staff.

Scottish Power

Local hairdressers who overcharged and ruined my hair.
