Can you recommend me a really good uplifting film?

Any age, preferably Romance or comedy or thriller but not depressing. Even it's a classic, because I'm sure there's gaps where I haven't seen certain things. Any suggestions gratefully received Flowers

Dumplin with Jennifer Aniston on Netflix is brilliant if you haven't seen it, proper feel good film

midsomermurderess · 30/10/2021 12:50

Hunt for the Wilderpeople. It's an absolute delight.

Bitconfused75 · 30/10/2021 12:53

Good Will Hunting.

DampSquidGames · 30/10/2021 13:15

CaddieDawg I loved Dimpling, the young star of it is another Netflix film about becoming an Opera singer. It’s called Falling for Figaro.

DampSquidGames · 30/10/2021 13:15

Sorry Dumpling.

Hunt for the Wilder People - such a good film. One sad part in it but it’s dealt with so much kindness and humour that it’s ok. One of my all time favourites.

SirChenjins · 30/10/2021 13:26

Oh and YY to Sing Street

‘Some Like it Hot’, or ‘His Girl Friday’…. both are absolute classics, and two of the funniest films you could ever watch. They never fail to put a smile on my face Grin

amber763 · 30/10/2021 13:33

Pride or the full monty

brokenbiscuitsx · 30/10/2021 13:38

Amelie, it’s a beautiful film 🥰

sashh · 30/10/2021 13:44

The lake house.

13 going on 30.

PS I love you.

Actually Pride, if you have not seen it is brilliant.

Just like Heaven.

Heaven can wait, there are two very different films, the 1943 one is the one i'm recommending. It starts with an RAF pilot talking to a radio operator and falling in love as his plane goes down, I know that doesn't sound like a great start but it is.
