I'm surprised there are no threads on this, there were loads about ant mcpartlin.

I have no sympathy for drink/drug driving but it's so sad the way her life has turned out. I hope she can sort herself out.

She pled guilty today to drunk driving, driving while disqualified and driving with no insurance
She is going into the Priory for drug treatment

'She has a lot of personal problems' her solicitor said.

So have I, but I wouldn't go out drink driving while banned and with no insurance.

Excuse the pun, but she’s a car crash. She clearly needs help.

The seeming constant fingers up to the law is shocking (is this her 7th offence?) and she needs a custodial sentence IMO. But I do have sympathy for her and hope this is the point of no return for her.

I really hope she gets help and support this time. It is despicable to drink and drive and inexcusable, but I fear the worst for her. She was adamant she was clean of drugs as her kids said they'd disown her if she touched them again Sad

Her life hasn’t just “turned out” this way as though these things just happen to her.

She causes these things to happen through her own actions.

I had no idea about the extent of her previous driving convictions.

I get PPs point about speculation, gossip and rubber necking but it is kind of how she's chosen to live her life.

The bbc says she’s going to go for treatment at the priory.

Meanwhile she’s going through bankruptcy.

Wonder how she will pay the tens of thousands of pounds for the priory. And what tradesmen who have, say, worked on her house and paid for the parts to repair her plumbing or whatever, won’t get paid as she will be bankrupt.

Yet she can find the money to get treatment in order to avoid jail. Funny that.

I'll be pretty bloody annoyed if she doesn't get a custodial sentence for this.
Sure her defence have rushed her into rehab quickly to minimise the damage but i'd fully expect joe public who had been banned from driving SIX TIMES, who then went out in a massive drink & drugs bender WHILE BANNED and rolled a car to serve time for it. Perhaps a spell away from the limelight might do her good.

People bash on about what a good mother she is. Is she though? Are these the actions (persistent and reoccurring) the actions of a 'good mother'? Really?

She seems to be on a terrible downward spiral with her finances, relationships and seeming to be obsessed with having plastic surgery abroad. I hope she can get serious help even though it has not worked in the past

She has been very lucky with her previous court sentences - some years ago I was on a jury for a driving while disqualified case with fewer serious factors (no drugs or drink). I think it was a second offence and he was sentenced to 3 months

How the fuck is she a good mother, going from bloke to bloke and having more kids by them, only to split months later? She barely knows these guys, her introducing the kids to an endless stream of blokes is not a good mother. Why can't she concentrate on the kids she has now instead of bloke after bloke

I feel sorry for her but if she really has done this 6 times she needs to go to prison . Too many innocent people are killed or injured by drunk drivers .

I cannot feel sorry for her on this occasion.
She has been banned so so many times.
All of us know the law.
And common sense.
She was lucky she didn’t kill someone.

Many of us are having a tough time.

She's not a good mother if she puts herself at risk like this. Besides everything else in her hectic life, just the dangerous driving is bad enough.

I do agree with PP, all the people she left unpaid and is still floating round in half decent cars and paying for surgery and the priory, she's a disgrace

Its not ideal going from bloke to bloke I absolutely agree and I don't think she should have had as many kids. However you can see the woman is a good mother she's just troubled.

I do have some sympathy for her and even she has been through (I know much of it is her own doing but she clearly struggles with her mental health/self esteem and addiction issues) but it is difficult when she was being interviewed not long ago saying she was so upset as she was unable to drive to her son Harvey’s residential school at the weekend to see him.
a) get a cab/whichever partner you have now to drive you
b) can’t drive for that but can to go wherever she was going at 6am…..

I'm always amazed how celebs can go bankrupt, and yet be seen weeks later travelling to exotic holidays, having plastic surgery (how do they pay for it?), and then move to another big house with a big car - do they have creative accountants who hide money during the insolvency proceedings?

My guess is that KP will escape being jailed somehow. "It's not good for her image" or somesuch. "She's learnt her lesson" (until she does it again).
