I'm surprised there are no threads on this, there were loads about ant mcpartlin. I have no sympathy for drink/drug driving but it's so sad the way her life has turned out. I hope she can sort herself out.

Yes I agree we can all sympathise with her chaotic lifestyle / obvious low self esteem / mental health / family issues etc , but at the end of the day she has chosen to flout the law on several occasions and seemly got off fairly lightly. She needs to be shown that celebrity lifestyle , is no excuse ,and not a get out of jail free card . She needs to be sent to prison like the rest of us would be.

People should remember this the next time she's trying to paint herself as a caring and responsible mother.

I'm sure someone will rush to her defence saying this is because she's been through (alleged) DV. However most DV victims don't respond by getting coked up and then driving a car. She's already been banned 6 bloody times. It's a miracle she's not killed or seriously injured someone. How does she get away with continuously breaking the law without consequence? If she was just Jo Bloggs she'd surely be facing a custodial sentence for her actions.

I used to feel sorry for her and those she was actual a smart business woman under it all but then when she split from PA she just started on a downward spiral and nothing has stopped it. I don’t want to victim blame her but she seems to have men fall all over her and then they cheat on her etc - I actually don’t excuse their behaviour but she seriously needs some therapy if she is doing coke and drink drinking at 6!am where the fuck were her children and under whose care? Hope SS are involved

Katie is such a conundrum- she plays as if she is so tough and yet just seems so fragile in reality.

I've followed her ups and downs, I'm pretty sure her tough persona is a defence mechanism and underneath she's an insecure needy woman who isn't capable of making good decisions

If anyone needed a conservatorship it's KP imo

She’s very damaged individual living out her spiralling addiction and mental health issues in the public eye. She may well court the attention but that doesn’t make it ethical.

She’s very vulnerable. I think she will get jail this time. She does need mental health support though.

I checked to see if there was a thread earlier but assumed people were too scared to mention it as threads about Kate often get heated. There’s also a chance Kate comes on MN.

As a single parent to 2 autistic teens I do feel for her, I know she was upset not being able to see Harvey in Cheltenham due to not being able to drive, I can imagine how hard that must be because they are so close. Having a child with additional needs is a constant battle, I know he’s in residential but the worry doesn’t stop, the contact doesn’t stop and fighting his corner doesn’t stop. My life is a constant battle trying to get my kids the right provision whilst trying to keep them safe, there are times where I could have easily lost the plot and gone off the rails.

I’m pleased I haven’t seen people slagging her off on social media (though I’m sure somewhere they are). I hope she gets the help she needs.

The endless surgery, I'm still getting over a elc ten years ago... She only recently had surgery and then smacked in the jaw then off to Turkey or somewhere?? It's endless!!

In between she's found time to do x y and z and how many dc to look after?

Well rehab is a good start.

She has troubles that run very deeply. That's clear for anyone to see.

She has a very addictive personality.

I also agree that more needs to be done. So far her bans etc have not served her well in changing her behaviour.

The problem is where the answer lies with her? A few weeks rehab isn't enough. She in too deep for that now.

Mental health issues
Her relationships with men and in particular what ever went on in the middle of the night recently.
Money

She should just be living a quiet life with her kids. Drugs and drink/drug driving no longer gets my sympathy. I also think it needs to be a custodial sentence. She’s done the priory several times.

The older kids are better off with Pete his wife. Not sure about the younger ones. Poor, poor kids. Thing is Harvey will not manage without her.

She’ll be loving the publicity.

Gets drugged up to the eyeballs, drives without insurance or a licence with no care as to who she might kill in the process, and the bleeding hearts are out in force with the “oh poor her and her mental health/all she’s been through/she’s a good mother” crap.

Would all those feeling sorry for her feel the same if she’d actually killed someone? Because it’s no different you know? She only didn’t kill someone because there wasn’t anyone to kill, not for any other reason.

She’s a shit mother, and her children are better off with their fathers. If they disown her it’s no more than she deserves. I’m sure that if a poster posted here that their mother was a cokehead with a series of drink driving convictions and dozens of marriages/engagements to her name who had never given two shits for her children other than how they could be commodities for her they would have been advised to go NC.

I'm surprised at the number of previous convictions. Any ordinary person would probably have been locked up by now but she's a 'sleb' so she'll get away with it again, no doubt, citing 'mental health' issues.

And so she'll be wrapped up in the usual fawning and emotional outpourings.

We don’t know what drugs they were? It could have been drugs that she had been prescribed rather than recreational drugs? She’s probably still on strong pain killers for her injuries on her feet?

The fact she was driving under the influence of drugs could mean anything, doesn’t mean she’s a junky?

Her family are well aware she’s struggling with her mental health and have been supporting her and helping her with her dc.
