I'm surprised there are no threads on this, there were loads about ant mcpartlin.

I have no sympathy for drink/drug driving but it's so sad the way her life has turned out. I hope she can sort herself out.

I can’t see going into the Priory working for her, going in because she truly wants to get better is very different to going in because it might garner sympathy from a judge.

I don’t understand where her friends are. She seems so lonely. Harvey won’t cope without his Mum. Drink driving is inexcusable.

She needs help. Peter was really good for her. But she did something terrible apparently and they split up.

I really don't want her to go to prison, It would be terrible for Harvey if she did, he would miss her and that would be cruel. She stupidly drove a short distance on impulse, she hadn't been driving during her ban it would appear. She desperately needs support and I hope she gets it.
She'd been drinking and taking drugs! She could have easily killed herself and/or someone else. I don't disagree that she needs support but this is much more than just a silly mistake.

Surely she has to be jailed this time? She's had so many driving bans - and I'm sure that there was at least once when she should have faced another, but she used that lawyer guy that famous people use to find technicalities.

She clearly has zero respect for the road or driving laws.

Harvey would miss her a lot more if she'd killed herself in the crash while high on drugs and almost double the drink driving limit.

Hopefully Harvey will be well looked after at the residential school he lives at most of the time

Really torn over this but she is a controversial figure. I can’t abide drink driving so have no sympathy in that respect but KP is a very damaged person who was chosen to live / been exploited to live her life very publicly. I think for now she and her family deserve to be left alone to repair the damage she has caused

I think the fact none of her kids live with her is pretty telling of the state her life is in...

None of us are perfect.

I agree that none of us are perfect but I would hazard a guess that none of us on here have been banned from driving SIX times.

That's more than a mistake, that is flagrant disregard for the the law and when you add the fact she admitted she was both drink and drug driving on top, it's also playing Russian roulette with the safety of the general public.

Someone commented on another forum that they live near Katie and she's a regular sight behind the wheel..............

I'm just so shocked that this is her 6th offense and she's still not had any level of punishment. Anyone else would have been behind bars years ago.

I cannot feel sorry for her on this occasion. She has been banned so so many times. All of us know the law. And common sense. She was lucky she didn’t kill someone.

Once is a mistake. Seven times is unforgivable.

She's so selfish and self absorbed. I used to have sympathy for her, but she's actually beneath contempt. She has a responsibility to her children and the way she behaves demonstrates that she doesn't give a shit about anyone but herself.

Not sure how that would work, given that left alone she's likely to just go right on causing it?

I imagine we can all agree she's pretty damaged, but what some of us are concerned about is the danger she poses to others ...

I think she’s very unwell, her face and body are such a mess following so much surgery , her personal life is in a precarious situation, ans she’s a drug addict and alcoholic.

In all honesty I don’t believe a normal custodial sentence is what’s needed here. Maybe a mental health hospital or something similar. I think honestly she desperately needs help and needs to get it or this will end up in tragedy, she will end up dead.

I agree with @Bluntness100 that she’s not likely to make it to old age if she carries on like this and she definitely needs some serious help.

But, given she’s had six convictions already, I don’t see why she should avoid a custodial sentence, it might be the wake-up call she needs.

Different type of offense ( a very serious one, GBH?) but didn’t Boy George finally get clean and turn his life around after a stint in jail? I’m not saying it’s always the right approach, but it could be Katie’s wake up call, IYSWIM. I do feel sorry for her in many ways, just not on this occasion.

Coke would explain the pattern of erratic behaviour and poor decision making. Addiction is a very serious mental illness and she obviously needs a lot of help. It’s not an easy thing to come back from but I hope she can get a better place and find some stability. I don’t know anything about the law but given how many driving incidents there have been then perhaps some kind of custodial sentence is needed given that she’s really putting lives at risk by continually breaking rules

I feel so sad for Harvey in all of this, he's so vulnerable and what will it do to him of he loses her/she has a long stint in jail? Poor lad.

Agree with this. Her kids are better off with their fathers. I actually used to like her, she was a very savvy business woman, but the lure of trying to stay young, sexy and relevant, along with years of coke and alcohol addiction, have taken their toll. She needs more than a slap on the wrist and a few weeks in the Priory with all lifes luxuries or she'll be lucky to see 50.

I agree with the PP who said that she won't make old bones. She's been addicted to notoriety for as long as she's been in the public eye. I remember her debut as Jordan on page 3 and the "debate" about her first breast enlargement.

Since then it's been men, children, surgery, drugs, alcohol, accidents - anything and everything that will feed her addiction for seeing herself in print or - for the last 20 years - on the internet. She needs a massive amount of help but before that she needs to hit whatever her version of rock bottom is.

I agree that she needs to face up to her actions first and foremost but I fear it will kill her to lose her children and her desperate need for affirmation.

Is Harvey really going to be that affected?

We see the times that Katie is with Harvey in the media, but it’s pretty common knowledge that she regularly swans off on holiday with the latest boyfriend/group of friends and leaves Harvey for weeks at a time.

There’s no question that they have a good relationship, but it’s not as if they’ve never been apart, that’s just what the media are claiming.

And Harvey is in residential school now. So he’s perfectly well looked after.

She has exploited Harvey for her own means for years. I think that them being apart is possibly a good thing for him.

I used to quite like her (many years ago) however more recently she appears to be clinging on to any bit of publicity she can get, her attempts at staying in the lime light are cringe worthy and the constant surgeries and men coming and going from her life makes me cringe. I feel sorry for her children. Princess is already a user of social media and puts herself out there, with Katie's encouragement, which is not good for her atall. They'll be so affected by her behaviour and the terrible life choices she has made. I don't think she'll see old age.

harvey is well cared for where he is,have you not seen the footage of dragging the poor lad around everytime she need's to make money

have a look at the way she let Carl be nasty to harvey and her laughing and it's happened more than once,Carl does not like harvey and takes the pee out of him,it's all on the net for you to see

people have seen her in Horsham driving,i really dont think you know much about her life style to be honest

and if she was lonely were the people that she was with not good enough,she has admitted going out at 6,30am looking to get more coke

thank god she does not have her children even part time but maybe if she did and put them first she would be waking up for the day getting the kid's ready for school NOT pissed up looking for more drugs

If you take away the celebrity lifestyle her story reads like a case file for a woman who has had severe childhood trauma ( suspect sexual abuse) and descended into drug and alcohol addictions. Usually this would lead to removal of children if behaviour didn't change. I think her children have been " placed " with their fathers by children's social care. This would be confidential and the Local Authority wouldn't be able to contradict any statements she made to the contrary.
She seems to crave attention and I think she desperately needs help. That said, she continues to break the law and put herself and others at risk. I wonder if going to the Priory is instead of admission to a psychiatric hospital as they do treat NHS patients as well.
No excuse for drink / drug driving or driving when banned but I think she is very unwell. She probably wants to be a good mother but clearly isn't at the moment. Very sad
