I'm 22 and have been to 1 wedding but I was a kid. I dont know much about the dos and don'ts for wedding guest outfits.
Is this an alright outfit to wear or is it too colourful? Too short?

My niece is 23 and she wore this to a family wedding over the summer and looked amazing.

Depends on where the wedding is but I think this is a more grown up version of the dresses you liked. With the right accessories it can be dressed up

This is nice and young and still colourful. I have young nieces and this is something they wear.

@LorenzoVonMatterhorn

The first one would be fine as long as not a church wedding. The second one is fine.

On which planet would this be 😃😃😃

(Not that exact one from there, but a kimono style dress exactly the same)

I actually love this pattern but the only thing is its tight :( maybe if I find an extreme tummy control under garment this is definitely going on my list

Both of those frocks would look brilliant placed over my bog roll

If the wedding guest theme is ‘Slutty Can-Can Barbie’, then you’re all set, OP. Otherwise, no.

If you want short, but bearing in mind it's autumn and getting colder, what about this?

Looser over your tummy. You could pick a colour and choose some great shoes. Have stunning nails.

[quote Mariell]If you want the frou frou look something like this would be better. Still hideous though.

Do you really think the dress you suggested is hideous? I love it. Shows everyone really has different tastes

Some if the suggestions! She's 22, not 52! Wear whatever you want OP there is no right or wrong, it's whatever you feel comfortable in. That style is obviously part of your personality so go for it

I assume you're joking. Do you hate the people getting married? I can't think of any other explanation

Is this okay? And no I dont know what is acceptable because I have no clue about weddings.. at all. I dont also dont wanna go for something really mature and typical.

Is this a nice outfit?
Is it the lengtht, what's the typical length people wear?

This is lovely but the first unicorn dress was hideous and way too short.

It’s not even that it’s not appropriate for a wedding, it’s just horrible.

I really liked that too! If you want short I would say no shorter than just above knee - the first one was too short. Apart from that, so long as your boobs and bum aren't at risk of falling out of the dress then colour and pattern should be what you feel comfortable in. General rule if you would wear it to go clubbing then it's not really a wedding guest outfit.

@Sophie1029734. Ignore @Mariell
She’s being unnecessarily rude.

At your age you can wear something which is more of a young style.
I’m in my 60’s and would love to be able to wear the dresses you like.
Do it while you’re young.

OP - what's your budget, what dress size/shape are you, and is it a church wedding?

Any cultural issues to be factored in? (Eg i was always told not to wear green to weddings on the Irish side of our family, the "no green rule" was never explained)
