If that for a reconsideration?
Hopefully you hear back from them soon

Mummyof3boz · 16/09/2021 18:22

@Nmhx no just 1st claim not had any decisions x

Nmhx · 16/09/2021 18:27

@Mummyof3boz shouldn’t be much longer now for you.
There doesn’t seem to be any disclosed timer and for reconsideration decisions. I have no clue when I should hear back 🤷🏼‍♀️

Anyone in Northern Ireland know much about the waiting times here? I sent my daughters in on 14th June and had a letter to say sorry about the wait which was about 4 weeks ago, rang yesterday and the fella said they're running really behind at the minute and not to expect it looked at til about mid October! That's a really long wait.

Nmhx · 16/09/2021 19:08

@BorisTheBellendPM sorry, I don’t :(

Natalie002 · 17/09/2021 07:31

Hiya, I was on the last thread before it closed.. my forms were scanned on the 9th July, I rang on Monday for an update as we are on week 10 and was told it’s now gone to a DM. How long does it normally take once it’s been given to a DM? Not sure if it’s worth me ringing back up today?

Thanks

Hannm123 · 17/09/2021 08:56

@Natalie002 it should only be a couple of days some even have a decision that day or the day after xx

Sarantfc · 17/09/2021 11:09

@Natalie002 ring them today to see if they’ve got a decision yet, some people get texts if they’ve been awarded and some don’t, letters take about 10 days to arrive so always best to ring and find out. Good luck! x

Ems1991 · 17/09/2021 14:33

@BorisTheBellendPM I think it all goes to the same place throughout uk as far as I know Its between 8-9 weeks just now as far as I no xx@nataile002 my claim was the 14th July and I heard back on Monday I would definitely call I only normally takes longer if there waiting on information from health specialist xx

Mummyof3boz · 17/09/2021 15:33

Anyone had any news today? I’ve still not heard x

Sarantfc · 17/09/2021 15:50

@Mummyof3boz nope nothing, I know not everyone receives a text but I wish we did regardless if we are successful or not.

Hannm123 · 17/09/2021 16:29

I agree!! @Sarantfc either way would just put me owt my misery 🤣x

leslie77 · 17/09/2021 16:35

@BorisTheBellendPM I'm in NI as well. Getting so fed up now, mine was scanned on the 8th june so nearly 15 weeks. It was sent more than 16 weeks ago. I phoned on Tuesday and was told it was finally with a decision maker and to call back today to find out what the answer was. Phoned back today and was told there's no decision been made.

Sarantfc · 17/09/2021 16:41

@Hannm123 every text I get I’m thinking it’s them & then hoping a letter comes in the post every time the postman comes😂 he must think I’m some scary woman!

Hannm123 · 17/09/2021 16:45

@Sarantfc I’m the same ! I’m not myself I’m like a loose cannon ..always making sure my phones not gonna die so a Tx can come through from them
And I bet I’m still a couple of weeks off a decision 🤣🤣I’m surprised they’ve not blocked my number xx

Nmhx · 17/09/2021 17:02
@Mummyof3boz nope nothing, I know not everyone receives a text but I wish we did regardless if we are successful or not.
This is true. When I was refused I didn’t receive a text message. I only knew when I called up to find out what was happening. The letter came through 5 days after.

BorisTheBellendPM · 17/09/2021 17:23

@leslie77 that's reassuring to know yours is with the DM then as mine is only a week later than yours. Maybe by Monday if you rig they might have a decision for you. I can't believe how slow it is.

Mummyof3boz · 17/09/2021 17:47

Same I agree everyone should get a text then maybe stop people from phoning so much..I don’t suppose we will hear anything over weekend as don’t think they work it? It’s so frustrating hope everyone gets the news they want x

Hannm123 · 17/09/2021 18:54

@Mummyof3boz apparently they are working through sat/sun at the moment because of the back log x

Sarantfc · 17/09/2021 21:47

@Hannm123 well at least I’m can now sleep at night knowing I’m not the only crazy woman getting angry at my phone because it’s not them😂

@Nmhx being turned down over the phone is 1 reason why I don’t want to ring, it will literally be heart shattering but I also don’t want to be twiddling my thumbs waiting for a declined letter.😩 frequent updates by texts wouldn’t go amiss.

I’m so sorry to hear that. You can ask for a statement of reasons which will outline why.

When I was given the statement of reason d why my son was not entitled outlined things like “not usual for a child his age” or “you said….. however no evidence to support this provided”.

Hopefully having the reasons in full will give better insight into how you can rectify the application.

Sammyjo42 · 18/09/2021 13:33

@Nmhx is it better to ask for the statement of reasons or ask them to look at it again? As since then he’s having sessions with school nurse for eating issues and another referral to children’s services and a anxiety and depression course?

Nmhx · 18/09/2021 13:52

@Sammyjo42 it’s best to ask for the statement of reasons as you can then respond in writing back to them about why you disagree with what they’ve said. Even if you just ask them to look again it’s best to know why they were refused in the first place so you can include evidence for it or explain further.
I hope that makes sense.
