@Hannm123, scanned the 13th July, all in from requesting the forms about 16 weeks. X

Hannm123 · 14/09/2021 14:29

Jesus ! That is a long wait ..at least it was worth the wait ..so pleased your wait is finally over xx

Sarantfc · 14/09/2021 14:43

@ CockADoodleDuuuhhh I know you’re not on this thread but did you get a decision?

Because of covid I’ve been able to get evidence for my son & still awaiting appointments, only evidence and info I could send was from his pre school & the senco filled out her section. It’s 8 weeks tomorrow for me, I so hope we aren’t turned down.

Kimcoco21 · 14/09/2021 15:08

@Ems1991CAHMS are involved, but keep saying they can’t figure him out. Time table has just been reduced to an hour a day now and waiting for local authority to place him in a specialist school. I’ve rang Dla and updated. Lady was very nice said it was with a decision maker in Blackpool and should have a decision in the next 7 days. 9 weeks tomorrow since they scanned it so hopefully I should hear something within a week.

Ems1991 · 14/09/2021 15:38

They should be able to write you a supporting letter of his daily care needs and problems they shouldn't refuse if they no there a problem you don't need to have diagnosis @kimcoco21 @sarantfc you haven't tagged her properly there a gap between the @ and her name I've done it loads of times @CockADoodleDuuuhhh

That’s hun! First time on these kinda. Really hope we get approved, hoping I wrote enough & that his pre school targets and plan as well as something written by the senco will be enough. It’s so hard when although been referred for assessments we’ve had no letters or anything for more evidence yet.
Ems1991 · 14/09/2021 16:26

If your schools are writing and supporting use that should be enough hopefully and the fact there on a waiting list it's horrible all these waiting list there children they shouldn't have to wait long period of time for help it totally wrong xx

Does anyone know how long it takes for carers allowance to go through at all xx

OP posts:
Hannm123 · 14/09/2021 18:49

@Ems1991 my previous claim for carers only took around 2 weeks if that and they backdated payment in line with dla award x

Ems1991 · 14/09/2021 19:55

Aww that's great news thank you 😊 xx @hannm123

@Ems1991 I spoke to tax credits this morning, they have updated it, will the disability element get backdated like the DLA did? Xx

Ems1991 · 14/09/2021 20:23

You need to ask misses they don't automatically backdate it so give them a call tomorrow just double check it's better to tell them at the begin you want it backdated other wise they see it as not there problem xx @gemconks

Gemconks · 14/09/2021 20:31

needtogetfit21 · 14/09/2021 20:43

Hi is this for PIP? I thought DLA was no longer?

Mombie2021 · 14/09/2021 20:51

@needtogetfit21

Hi is this for PIP? I thought DLA was no longer?
DLA is for children, PIP for adults.
Mummyof3boz · 14/09/2021 20:52

@needtogetfit21 child dla we r all applied for on here x

needtogetfit21 · 14/09/2021 21:48

Thanks! Wrong thread for me then. All the best!

Timeisavirtue · 14/09/2021 22:06

So glad I sent off the renewal early. My sons current claim ends in January so we sent it earlier to get it over and done with.... glad I did now

paradyning · 14/09/2021 22:09

Not rtft but I was v late in submitting. 5 weeks before end of award. I called and she said she would escalate as I was worried it would impact notability. Award came though in about 4 weeks in the end.

Sarantfc · 15/09/2021 10:06

Just rang them as it’s been 8 weeks today, was only waiting to get through for 15 minutes. It’s not with a decision maker as yet but it’s in the right department what ever that means. They said to call back in 2 weeks but I’ll be ringing again next week.

Mummyof3boz · 15/09/2021 11:28

Hi I got told they are dealing with claims from July to 10th august if that helps anyone she said I should hear something end of week beginning of next week and if haven’t to phone back 🤞 crossed x

Sarantfc · 15/09/2021 11:50

Seems it depends on what person you speak to, when was yours scanned onto their system? & did they say if yours was with a decision maker?

Mummyof3boz · 15/09/2021 12:06

@Sarantfc yeah it seems that way 🤔 mines was 23rd July so I’m hoping its soon it’s the not knowing and no she never said she just said no decision had been made yet but should be end this week beginning of next if not heard by then to phone back.wot about u? x

Sarantfc · 15/09/2021 12:30

@Mummyof3boz they received mine on the 21st, ring again Friday and see what they say. I didn’t send much evidence as don’t have it yet except stuff from his nursery senco so not holding out much hope but it’s just the waiting & being told different things so it confuses people.
