@Jneill2021 have you been awarded yet, I hope so I'll keep you posted with how it goes. I've already got the hrc and lrm just hoping to get the hrm now because it's become increasingly harder with him

Luckers1102 · 18/11/2021 17:01

@plumpudisnice Done, will post it tomorrow. I hope they accept it, there will only be three sentences missing from the 2 page report.

Jneill2021 · 18/11/2021 17:10

@Mummy2boys1520 not yet I'm awaiting a decision currently 7 and half weeks so hoping not much longer I already get dla for my daughter she gets mrc lrm but her needs are less then her brothers xx

Hannm123 · 18/11/2021 17:52

@SBParker99 I would say around 3 weeks from putting it in my changes on Uc to getting the payment in my bank .I spoke to them on the phone on Monday and said I was stressed and having anxiety and I’m struggling financially and I’m relying on this money then it was escalated and calculated ,checked and payment in within 2 days xx

Mummy2boys1520 · 18/11/2021 22:56

@Jneill2021 mine took exactly 8 weeks for mine to be done and he was award the hrc and lrm and that is with having as diagnosis. But I did send them school reports and other supporting evidence. So fingers crossed you'll receive it soon you'll have to keep me posted

SBParker99 · 19/11/2021 08:35

@Hannm123 have you applied for carers allowance if so have you heard anything yet as i’m not sure how long it’s taking at the min. glad you got your backpay sorted hopefully mine will soon as i know others have waited months

Hannm123 · 19/11/2021 09:05

@SBParker99 This isn’t my first dla claim I’ve have 2 others that also recieve it but when I first claimed carers it was done within a week and payments started but that was like 2 years ago now and we wasn’t it a pandemic then so it was a lot quicker than these days you literally have to hound them now xx

CloMo1995 · 19/11/2021 09:18

Just got off the phone to dla, my son was awarded middle rate care yesterday :) I was hoping for LRM but I'm happy with the decision and that the wait is over and I'm not challenging it. Good luck everyone, I hope your little ones get what your hoping for xxxx

Jneill2021 · 19/11/2021 09:28

@CloMo1995 amazing news so glad you got the outcome you wanted xx

Jneill2021 · 19/11/2021 09:42

@CloMo1995 if your little ones under 5 they'll send you a new form you just fill in mobility part because under 5 is really hard as you can only be able to claim hrm xx

CloMo1995 · 19/11/2021 09:49

Hes 8, 9 next month haha! I'm not too bothered though, I'm happy that the wait is finally over for him (and myself) hes gona have a nice surprise after school when I tell him lol! Xx

Jneill2021 · 19/11/2021 10:00

@CloMo1995 lol OK I'm so glad your little one got rewarded, awesome bless him least the wait is finally over xx

3Hearts1Beat · 19/11/2021 11:34

@Alk19 I’ve just checked my UC online account and went to find a Decision Letter left in my journal stating the below:

“You reported a change that happened on 28 July 2021. This declaration was made outside the assessment period in which the change happened.

The decision maker has reviewed the reasons for the delay in notifiying us of the change. On this occasion it has been decided that special circumstances apply and your Universal Credit will be adjusted from the date of change.

Changes to your Universal Credit entitlement will be shown in your monthly statement.”

Does this mean that they’ve accepted to backdate the payments for both elements - Disabled Child Element & Carer’s Element? x

Blabbermouth93 · 19/11/2021 11:37

Hi @CloMo1995 when did you put your claim in as I’m still waiting too phoned yesterday nothing as yet

Alk19 · 19/11/2021 11:39

@3Hearts1Beat yes that's the letter I got to needs calculating now and getting approved I've not had any payments yet though heard that can be a wait to xx

Alk19 · 19/11/2021 11:39

@3Hearts1Beat you should have 2 letters one for the disabled element one for the carers x

SBParker99 · 19/11/2021 11:43

@3Hearts1Beathow long did you wait from updating your claim to getting that letter if you don’t mind me asking?

CloMo1995 · 19/11/2021 11:49

@Blabbermouth93 they have had mine since the 14th of september, it was 9 weeks on tuesday and they made the decision yesterday x

Loladiego38 · 19/11/2021 11:49

@CloMo1995

Did you send much info with your pack
I’m on hold now as have the same dates as you x

3Hearts1Beat · 19/11/2021 11:51

@Alk19 oh really I only just got the one. The one that I got is headed like this:

“Your change of circumstances report for Universal Credit. You reported a change to the children in your household & your caring responsibilities on 03 November 2021”

Which Element is this then? And they’ve even got the date i reported wrong as I actually reported on the 2nd November 🙄. I also took a leaf out of your book and did what you did and it looks like it worked hun, thank youuuu x

3Hearts1Beat · 19/11/2021 11:52

@Alk19 still no payment, what an absolute joke. Have they told you about the calculations at least and how much to expect? x

Blabbermouth93 · 19/11/2021 11:58

@CloMo1995 & have you received payment yet hun I’m on 9 weeks today so hopefully not long x

3Hearts1Beat · 19/11/2021 12:00

@SBParker99 so I originally declared my change in circumstances to them back in August (6th August) to be precise and that was for the Carer’s Element and I still hadn’t heard anything. So I then also told them on the 2nd November about DLA being awarded that very same day and that declaration was for the request to have Disabled Child Element backdated to the 28th July, which is the effective date of my DLA claim and they’ve accepted. The letter was put in my journal yesterday afternoon but I’ve only just seen it this morning.

Alk19 · 19/11/2021 12:08

@3Hearts1Beat that looks like the carers one and no I've not heard nothing since the letters! Oh really? Well I'm glad it worked!! X

Alk19 · 19/11/2021 12:10

@3Hearts1Beat with you only just telling them recently about the disabled elements I would expect to wait more time for that looks like there only up to your carers one in august I reported both of mine same day and got bothe letters on the same day x
