@Alk19 please just submit the appeal via this link www.gov.uk/appeal-benefit-decision.
You have a right to dispute a decision or lack of one within a reasonable timeframe. Trust I know what I'm talking about.

Fingers crossed we all hopefully get the result we are looking for as I just get told the bare minimum at first it was 8 weeks then went up to ten weeks x

Lozca93 · 15/11/2021 16:34

Anyone had a result yet from the 17th sept? That's when they received my application and I've just phoned to be told it still hasn't been dealt with, had a letter dated the 4th saying sorry it's taking longer than they thought. Also of you do get dla do you let uc know and they adjust payments? I work aswell so just want to make sure I don't end up with less

Srmam · 15/11/2021 20:12

@Lozca93 I phoned up today, they received mine the 21st of September and said they are taking up
To 15 weeks

Jneill2021 · 15/11/2021 20:27

@Lozca93 I rang today mines 7 weeks and there saying between 9-10 but seems lately its 8/9 x

Srmam · 15/11/2021 20:44

I'm going to ring again on Friday. When I said up to 15 weeks the lady said "yes as we may need to ask for extra information" I did say I thought it was around 8 and she said it's taking up to 15 weeks. Seems quite a delay.

CloMo1995 · 15/11/2021 20:55

@Srmam they tell you different time scales every time you ring them up

Srmam · 15/11/2021 20:58

I rang after I got my letter after 2 weeks and was told to expect between 8 and 10 weeks, I rang last week told around 10 to 12 then today 15. I will just have to wait and see. It's 8 weeks next Monday.

Blabbermouth93 · 15/11/2021 21:43

They said up to 21st for mine they better not change it again ☹️

Blabbermouth93 · 15/11/2021 22:03

Anyone claimed for a two year old who takes absences and seizures I’ve heard so many stories of children being knocked back for this we are still investigating what is causing them she just had another eeg last week and another ecg next month as two of her brothers have heart problems consultant has demanded a ecg but wouldn’t tell me why after listening to her chest she had meningitis at two weeks of age and her seizures started around the same time ☹️❤️❤️

Srmam · 15/11/2021 22:11

Fingers crossed for you. It's a different time scale each time I've rang.

Alk19 · 16/11/2021 10:13

I have good news!!!!
I've received a letter for both the elements this morning and it's been accepted under special circumstances looks as though my threat with my MP and courts worked haha

Srmam · 16/11/2021 10:15

That's good news! How long did you wait?

Alk19 · 16/11/2021 10:20

@Srmam since the 16th august Hmm

Alk19 · 16/11/2021 10:21

@Srmam that's the UC elements being backdated I already receive the elements and DLA but I requested it to be backdated to the start of my DLA claim which was in may x

Princess23 · 16/11/2021 10:25

Lkmc105 · 16/11/2021 10:27

@Alk19 great news now you shouldn’t need to deal with them for a long time we’ll done , was it a letter through the post or letter into journal you got .

Alk19 · 16/11/2021 10:28

@Lkmc105 oh I'm so done with them now was an absolute joke I got the letters on my journal x

Alk19 · 16/11/2021 10:30

@Princess23 do you mean the family fund grant? It's all depending on your eligibility ect I had my phone assessment with them nearly 5 weeks ago but not heard anything yet (the woman who did the assessment said I should qualify but still waiting) I started my claim with them in august it can be a long process look on their website X

Nic247 · 16/11/2021 10:44

@Alk19 I got those letters too on 31st Oct, still no sign of receiving the back pay! Rang last week and was told it was being calculated and that I'd hear by end of the day. Week later rang this morning and was told they have emailed my case manager and that I will hear back by 6pm tomorrow. Not holding much hope to be honest

Alk19 · 16/11/2021 10:49

@Nic247 honestly they don't rush do they as soon as they seen my backpay from carers allowance they deducted my money straight away and sent me a letter though! X

3Hearts1Beat · 16/11/2021 11:20
