Anyone had any good news ? X

CloMo1995 · 16/11/2021 12:58

@Jneill2021 nope, 9 weeks today for me. I rung yesterday and they said I will have a descision by the 21st x

Jneill2021 · 16/11/2021 13:01

Considering the decision maker had yours since last week that's a long time, at least uno you should have your decision this week, just so nervous waiting for the decision just hoping after the wait don't have to do a Mr x

Jneill2021 · 16/11/2021 13:06

@CloMo1995

CloMo1995 · 16/11/2021 13:24

@Jneill2021 I thought that was long aswell so I asked the man about it and he said decision makers are given claims in bulk to go through and have a time that they need to do them all by. God knows if that's true tho because I get told a different thing everytime I ring lol x

CloMo1995 · 16/11/2021 13:25

And I know I really dont want to have to do a MR but I've been researching what to do when you have to do one just so I'm prepared lol x

Jneill2021 · 16/11/2021 13:30

@CloMo1995 tell me about it they never seem to give a straight answer that sticks all the advisors say different things hopefully it's true for you should imagine so if it's woth dm, I'm dressing the Mr luckily my sons portage worker said she would help it it was the case he was unsuccessful x

3Hearts1Beat · 16/11/2021 13:45

Alk19 · 16/11/2021 14:26

Bob’s your uncle, how so very pathetic. 🙄. Honestly hun, thank you for sharing, really appreciate it. Might just take a leaf out of your book mate lol. xx

Alk19 · 16/11/2021 21:20

SBParker99 · 17/11/2021 07:13

Jneill2021 · 17/11/2021 10:20

Good news any one ? Xx

Timeisavirtue · 17/11/2021 12:28

Just called them... 45 mins on hold to be told they won’t be making a decision until the date on the letter. - 4th January. It really winds me up because he is autistic and that’s not gonna change, don’t know why we need to renew. The lady told me they are so busy that people who were due a renewal today will only find out today. My DS needs a new phone, I can’t commit to one because I don’t make enough money and we are still paying off the iPads he’s broken over the last 3 years. I was planning as getting him a new phone for his birthday, we find out the day before, hopefully they let me know pretty early and I can arrange for a phone to be delivered before he’s home from school on his birthday.

Alk19 · 17/11/2021 14:07

@Jneill2021 I'm full of good news this week so was the universal credit yesterday and today family fund accepted my application wohooo x

Ltb17 · 17/11/2021 14:22

@Alk19 ah I'm really glad yours is all sorted now. I've only just seen about your universal credit too. Hopefully you're not waiting too long for the actual payment to reach your bank account.

Jneill2021 · 17/11/2021 16:48

@Alk19 amazing news for you I requested the application for family fund but still haven't received it I didn't really take notice of it before when my daughter got diagnosed because everything was so new x

Luckers1102 · 17/11/2021 23:11

Hello, hope you don't mind me joining, these Mumsnet threads have helped me so much with this DLA claim ao I want to do the same
for other mums 😊

So little background story:

I have sent my new claim form off yesterday for my little boy (6)
He has an EHCP in place so I sent that as evidence.. I didn't want to send the Ed Psych report and other ones as they contain personal information about me too, which I didn't really want to share with the DWP.. He has been diagnosed with Autism but I'm still waiting for an official report/letter stating this. He's been put forward for ADHD assessment but I'm waiting for that to happen yet.

I am hoping the EHCP will be enough evidence (it's 24 pages long so I bloody hope so 😂).
Could anyone confirm/deny this at all please?

Will keep you all posted with updates ☺️

SBParker99 · 18/11/2021 07:51

does anyone know how long it’s currently taking to hear from carers allowance, i filled out the form and it said 12 weeks however ive heard other people’s have been done within about 3-4 weeks.

Alk19 · 18/11/2021 08:26

@SBParker99 I got awarded carers last week put my claim in start of September I actually rang them up to chase it and she awarded it to me over the phone after going through a few things x

SBParker99 · 18/11/2021 08:41

@Alk19 do you know if it’s common for them to do that? or was you just a one off?

Alk19 · 18/11/2021 08:46

@SBParker99 I was very surprised I wasn't expecting it but there was an issue with my work saying i was paid more than I was but I sent evidence and she awarded it there and then after going through it got my backpay a few days later then started getting my weekly payments Monday just gone no harm in ringing if you've been waiting a while x
