If the costume is anything like that he would look fantastic.

Of course, no one who plays Warhammer will have a clue who he is meant to be!

No idea, but as there's a miniature presumably it would be recognised as a specific character in a cosplay situation.

If you are wearing it outside of cosplay, I'm getting space nazi/Russian mummy or zombie vibes.

I'm not sure about Nazi, but some kind of military baddie.

Whatever niche thing it actually is it has some not insignificant Nazi/SS vibes.

As a prospective costume, why risk invoking it, it doesn't matter what it technically is in that circumstance, just what potential harm might be done to others looking at it who don't know.

If it's Warhammer I guess it depends on the age of your ds. If he's 6 perhaps not so appropriate...

Can’t see the hat badge clearly but first thought was Prussian officer then it began to look quite mittel european/nazi.

It's obviously much older fashioned than nazi gear. However, it does look like a prototypical 'evil dark soldier'. I think it looks like a blinged up French Revolutionary general.

well, as I know NOTHING about any of the gamin etc, I would assume it is a costume from a specific storyline.

If it is not a specific costuem, but more a generic thing, then it looks steampunk.
I see the nazi vibe that people are saying, but that really isn't an ss coat, unless there is some insignia that I can't zoom in on, it is more that it is modern army general style clothing.
