I love the Rossendale house, including most of the decor but I would put in a bit more colour and have a proper big swimming pool, maybe even a 2nd pool in the unused basement rooms.

I wouldn't bother with an outdoor pool up in that area. Just join the rossendale valley sailing club and fall in a lot (in a wetsuit of course).

It’s a beautiful house would be a nice wedding venue or small hotel. £2 million seems overpriced to me.
Helmshore’s a nice area - grammar school catchment and easy commute to Manchester.

I don't think the new windows are PVC, are they @AviciaJones? The hall gallery still looks to have the stone mullions in the original photos.

Thanks for posting the previous pictures. In the 2017 version the rooms in the basement are listed with some pictured too. A second kitchen, games room, cinema.. A modern twist on the servants rooms - Downton Abbey eat your heart out!

Not for me . It doesn't look like a home , where would you ' settle down ' and get comfy ?
Whenever a big house is shown on here I find myself thinking I would not feel at home in a house like that. Just as well , I'll never afford to live in one

@NewHouseNewMe I’m very sure they are. At the beginning of the virtual viewing when the consultant is in the house at 50 secs she said we’ve got the gas fire, new heritage pvc windows.

I could be wrong but listened to her speak a few times, plus they look like new windows.

I was disappointed and imagine the original windows were dark wood. I would have kept the original features.

Lets place a bet:
it won't sell?
it will sell for considerably less?

It’s a beautiful house, but as my Nan would say - I bet it’s a bugger to heat 😀
