I hope you’re feeling better @PickAChew

I have a problem. We went to a dog friendly restaurant the other day and they gave my dog some treats that she absolutely loved. They couldn’t tell me what they were though. I’ve been to pets at home at the Arnison and they didn’t recognise them. Does anyone know what they are from the attached pic please? My greedy dog and I would be forever grateful!

@PickAChew hope it's easing off for you.

@Florelei they look like these - not sure if they are but look v similar! They also look a bit like the Bakers mini bones that we buy from Sainsburys although the colours aren't the same - same pattern of two colours but the other way round.

Good luck with your search Florelei.
Hope you are feeling better PickAChew, and cold sores are awful. I always get them when I am run down. So take care of your self.
The weather today is horrible, so much rain.
The new buildings at Arnison centre are coming on a pace! The frames are up. There was me, thinking no chance being ready for August etc.

PickAChew · 13/02/2022 23:40

I've been right as rain, today. And not at all tempted to break out for a naughty walk a day early, even if isolation is about to be abandoned!

Florelei · 14/02/2022 21:19

Glad you’re feeling a bit better @PickAChew

Thanks @Someaddedsugar and @AlviarinAesSedai - I found them!

Does anyone pay for their council tax in ten instalments? What are the two free months please? Is it this month?

PickAChew · 14/02/2022 21:31

Yes, it's January and February that are free (I think!)

PickAChew · 14/02/2022 21:36

Sorry, February and March

Someaddedsugar · 16/02/2022 20:14

Pleased you're feeling better @PickAChew!

I saw the new building frames the other day @AlviarinAesSedai - they're moving quickly with them!

I'm hoping this storm doesn't cause as much damage as the previous ones. I hope everyone has power and water throughout.

This wind is absolutely crazy, hope we get Friday off from it up here at least

PickAChew · 16/02/2022 23:29

I think we get off lightly on Friday for the wind but the precipitation looks vile. I've got an appointment at the job centre for Ds1 thstvdsy, too. I'll get the bus into town and I've put dh on notice for getting me home!

The trampoline a few doors down that didn't flinch in Arwen and scuttled along the garden during malik ended up in another neighbour's garden, this afternoon!

AlviarinAesSedai · 18/02/2022 07:56

Anyone got snow ❄️.

Florelei · 18/02/2022 08:14

Yes, we had quite a lot here when I put the bin out this morning at 6. It’s melting now though.

PickAChew · 18/02/2022 13:51

Yes, we had almost an inch but most of that was slush by the time I left the house at 9:30. No sign of any in town!

AlviarinAesSedai · 18/02/2022 14:13

We had more than a inch. But is going now, thank goodness. I hate snow.
Lovely blue sky. But I’m not going out is too cold.

PickAChew · 18/02/2022 14:16

Wind's beginning to pick up, too. Just glad we're not in the worst of it, today.

AlviarinAesSedai · 18/02/2022 14:41

Me too re wind/storm. Wednesday’s wind was bad enough for me. I have a little car and driving home was a bit scary, as in the open, the wind was grabbing it.
Checking the BBC weather and it says yellow warning.

Someaddedsugar · 18/02/2022 20:37

We had loads of snow at 6.30 this morning but all gone by lunchtime. I'm not a fan of the snow or the wind so I've stayed in most of today. Hope everyone's ok - we don't seem to have it that badly this time (I hope that's not me tempting fate!).

Did you find the dog treats @Florelei?

Florelei · 18/02/2022 20:52

@Someaddedsugar I did thank you so much! She loves them!

AlviarinAesSedai · 21/02/2022 10:58

I see the Wear at Durham has flooded, I’m not surprised. Our garden is a mud bath.
Heard on radio that the Tyne was at risk of flooding, wonder if that will be the quayside or the Ouseburn.
Hope the storms haven’t damaged any bodies property or person.
Happy half term everyone, my teenage is still asleep, it’s been stressful doing her Alevels.

OakleyStreetisnotinChelsea · 21/02/2022 12:09

Beautiful out today. Windy but blue skies and sunshine. Delightful.

PickAChew · 21/02/2022 12:43

The wind still has a sting in it, when it catches you.

My fitbit insists I slept well, last night. I beg to differ.

AlviarinAesSedai · 25/02/2022 17:17

Fire and Ice festival very popular today. Hope everyone who went had a great time.
The pregnant woman ice sculpture was my favourite.

Someaddedsugar · 25/02/2022 17:59

@AlviarinAesSedai we're going tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to it. Is it just in the marketplace?

OP posts:
AlviarinAesSedai · 25/02/2022 18:09

No @Someaddedsugar it’s all over Durham city. I saw Market place, near Gala , near Odeon. On Elvet bridge. Also there was a chocolate in ice to hack out.
I only bothered with about 5 because I had limited time.
There is a leaflet I think. Saw people with leaflets. Get there early because the ice seems to melt quickly.

Someaddedsugar · 25/02/2022 20:09

We're going first thing so hopefully it'll all still be in tact! Looking forward to it.

We've fallen into a new routine of heading to the library on a Saturday morning and it's totally brought my childhood back when my mum and dad took us to Darlington library. Very nostalgic!
