I'm 30, a single mum to 3 and have the following list of diagnoses:

Autism

Depression

Anxiety

Psychosis with auditory and visual hallucinations

PTSD

Hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome

Psoriatic arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis

Subrapubic disfunction

De Quervains tenosynovitis

Fibromyalgia

Binge eating disorder

I use a walking frame to help me mobilise and I am currently 19st 10lb.

Ive joined weight watchers, have a load of healthy snack options in.

I plan on getting between 6 and 8 thousand steps a day (have been slowly working up from 2000 for the last year)

I'm going to start keeping a journal and mark all appointments in a diary.

I'm going to do some gentle yoga every day, even if I only manage ten minutes.

Come cheer me on, join me in changing your life, or simply wish me luck.

daisybrown37 · 01/09/2021 16:08

I need to do something similar:

I need to lose a couple of stone at least

I need to stop wasting time on my phone and do more with my time

Need to get back into exercising

I need to spend less money - especially on food

Eat healthier in general

So hopefully I can join you next week.

Well done with day one!

HerRoyalRisesAgain · 01/09/2021 16:26

Played mousetrap, then we drew pictures. Now I'm making sausages with root vegetable mash, peas and green beans for tea.

Need to do a few more steps, and I'm going to do yoga once the little ones are showered and in bed.

Bizjustgotreal · 01/09/2021 18:34

You are on it! Keep letting us know your progress!

Mn753 · 01/09/2021 18:38

Please read the book "why we eat too much " as it explains how diets cause you to gain more weight as your metabolism slows right down to compensate. You need to cut wheat and sugar and eat plenty of fat like dairy, eggs, olive oil, and meat and vegetables. Aim to lose slowly else it will pile back on. Keep away from all processed food and anything with vegetable oil in. Best of luck x

Mn753 · 01/09/2021 18:39

Well done, you!
You've had a fantastic day. It's the little, gradual changes and any exercise is good exercise. You've got this!

SnipSnipMrBurgess · 01/09/2021 20:43

Hey OP I just wanted to add my well done! I have psa and ra too and really str7ggke to exercise. Can i suggest DDP yoga? He is a former wrestler, and changes people's lives when it comes to mobility. I'm currently working on chair yoga with him and see such a difference already in movement! Something to research!

I'd love a game of mouse trap I've not played it in years!

HerRoyalRisesAgain · 02/09/2021 09:08

3850 steps done already. I'm on a roll. Going to Potter about and get some housework done, then probably play xbox with DS1 while it's just me and him.

@HerRoyalRisesAgain

I am in awe of you making this decision despite all of your conditions etc.

Sending you lots of strength for when you need that extra but of help! I hope you start to see changes quickly to give you the added motivation!!

Lavenderpillow · 02/09/2021 14:03

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but regarding your fibromyalgia you should try the Curable app. I used to have it so bad that I couldn’t unload the dishwasher or lift the shopping bags. I did the programme on the app and it changed my life- I am completely pain free now and do kickboxing every day!
Basically you do a mixture of written exercises, learning about how pain works in the body, meditation/ relaxation and ‘brain training’. I honestly can’t recommend it enough.

Sunshineonarainydayy · 02/09/2021 14:35

You sound like a lovely mum
