I'm 30, a single mum to 3 and have the following list of diagnoses:

Autism

Depression

Anxiety

Psychosis with auditory and visual hallucinations

PTSD

Hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome

Psoriatic arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis

Subrapubic disfunction

De Quervains tenosynovitis

Fibromyalgia

Binge eating disorder

I use a walking frame to help me mobilise and I am currently 19st 10lb.

Ive joined weight watchers, have a load of healthy snack options in.

I plan on getting between 6 and 8 thousand steps a day (have been slowly working up from 2000 for the last year)

I'm going to start keeping a journal and mark all appointments in a diary.

I'm going to do some gentle yoga every day, even if I only manage ten minutes.

Fabulous! Go you! Can I recommend this 15 minute Yoga/Qi Gong routine which I do every morning and it makes me feel like Kung Fu Panda (I am the size and shape of Kung Fu Panda)

I love it, and it's really gentle, but makes you feel energised and good for the day ahead.

Some goals for me: use slow cooker 3 days a week.

Reduce takeaway to once a week.

Put my new workout clothes to use 3 times a week (starting small, Joe Wicks low impact on YouTube).

Good luck! Have you thought about adding some resistance training? It has been shown to reduce pain and help mobility in fibro evidence here. I've been starting with upper body and lifting a few tins of beans!

I'm terrible for eating junk. Today alone I've had a large pick n mix, 3 jam donut, 2 kit kat chunky, half a pack of biscuits. I hate myself for it but have no will power. Unfortunately all things like weight watchers etc make me become too obsessed and have Had previous food issues and dieting.

I just need a bit of oomph!

Good luck. I started it 8 weeks ago and have lost nearly a stone. Slow and steady but it is coming off. I’ve hit a bit of a plateau with it but still determine to keep going.

6-8000 steps a day would be a real achievement, and is a great aim. Good luck OP, here to support! Btw if you need some online yoga classes I recommend Adrienne. She does some nice short sessions too.

Yoga recommendations noted, and I do have RL support. My mum is my biggest cheerleader, as is my best friend who I just happened to meet because of MN. Its a truly awesome place (beside the bullfighting)

Remember / One day at a time! If you have a bad day remember you can always start again the next meal / day. If you get a flat tyre you don’t bin the car!
