This is an A&E trip right?

Tripped over dd’s scooter in the garden and fell with all my weight on my leg. It’s not broken as can weight-bear (with pain!) but my god it’s so bloody sore. Bruises came up very quickly.

This is an A&E trip right?

Goodness that looks terrible OP, certainly needs checking out by somebody...

emmathedilemma · 12/08/2021 10:47

Woooah that looks sore!! Minor injuries if you have one or A&E for X-ray I think.

SoupDragon · 12/08/2021 10:50

Ouch!

I would be headed to minor injuries or A&E. just because you can weight bear doesn't mean nothing is broken.

Minor injuries or a and e.

Rachwoal · 12/08/2021 10:52

Ouch! If you have a minor injuries I'd get it checked out, if there isn't one I'd wait a bit and see and then head to A&E if it's still very painful etc.

DonLewis · 12/08/2021 10:52

Flipping heck, those bruises!

Deffo need to get it checked. If nothings broken, I can recommend arnica cream for the bruises.

bloodywhitecat · 12/08/2021 10:52

Weight bearing does not mean no fracture, yes that needs checking out. Minor injuries unit might be your best bet.

Ugzbugz · 12/08/2021 10:52

That looks bad, never seen bruising like that so would agree with the others and get checked.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 12/08/2021 10:53

I would get that checked out.

ExpressDelivery · 12/08/2021 10:54

Gosh yes. Weight bearing doesn't mean it's not broken. A friend of mine turned her ankle in the starting pen for a half marathon. Ran the race on her very sore ankle and discovered afterwards that it was broken.

FuckingFabulous · 12/08/2021 10:55

Because that came up so fast and because there's pain on weight bearing, I would suspect a fracture and soft tissue damage at the least!

Cuddlemuffin · 12/08/2021 10:55

Definitely A&E. If you are walking arou d on it and there's a fracture you're going to make it a while lot worse. It looks dreadful! Hope you get it sorted OP x

SD1978 · 12/08/2021 10:56

Ability to weight bear doesn't actually determine whether there is a fracture or not. It's a common misconception

Crockof · 12/08/2021 10:58

Ring 111, most minor injuries now require you to book in this way.

Ostryga · 12/08/2021 10:58

Right shall book a taxi then. And throw the bloody scooter away!!

pinkmoon18 · 12/08/2021 11:03

Oucccchh!! ShockShock
Pleased your on way to get checked!

SeaToSki · 12/08/2021 11:05

A and E quickly please. Looks like you might have some internal bleeding. Keep your leg up as much as possible.

Betsybanshee · 12/08/2021 11:09

Looks real sore

TheFamousMrEd · 12/08/2021 11:17

Ouch that looks so painful! I hope you don’t have to wait long to be seen!

toocold54 · 12/08/2021 11:22

Wow I’ve never seen such big bruises!
A child I knew fell off her scooter in an odd way and broke her leg but they didn’t realise so they’d booked a GP appointment for a couple of days later instead of going to A&E!
Hopefully everything is ok but im glad you’re getting it checked just incase.

MikeWozniaksMohawk · 12/08/2021 11:25

Holy shit that looks painful OP! Yes go to A&E!

MikeWozniaksMohawk · 12/08/2021 11:26

(And I say that as someone who walked around for several weeks on a broken foot)

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 12/08/2021 11:36

Good lord! I was an A+E nurse until recently. Go to A+E! This is the type of thing we would see in minors

mrsrichardsglasses · 12/08/2021 11:40

That looks horrendously painful OP. I hope A&E can help Flowers
