This is an A&E trip right?

Tripped over dd’s scooter in the garden and fell with all my weight on my leg. It’s not broken as can weight-bear (with pain!) but my god it’s so bloody sore. Bruises came up very quickly.

This is an A&E trip right?

That is some impressive bruising OP, hope you're ok!

Ostryga · 12/08/2021 15:17

No update yet, still waiting in minors. Think I’m going to be a while!

You poor thing. Keep an eye on the colour of your toes. If they go white or blue, or if you start to loose sensation in any of them or get strange pricking feelings - let the triage people know immediately.

IslandLulu · 12/08/2021 15:27

Hope you're seen soon, OP. Thanks

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 12/08/2021 15:29

I'm willing to bet you the half a bottle of quite decent red that I've got in my kitchen that you leave with a plaster cast.

Glad you are getting it checked out.

Hope you are not in pain.

Terhou · 12/08/2021 15:36

Quite refreshing to have one of these threads without having someone telling OP not to waste A&E's time unless her leg is virtually severed.

PickAChew · 12/08/2021 15:36

Ouch. The only time I had bruising like that, I'd torn a ligament. It took a day for it to fully appear, too.

Bellringer · 12/08/2021 15:37

Get some arnica on those bruises

Ostryga · 12/08/2021 15:37

I e had a blood test and should be getting a wheelchair to X-ray soon. So fingers crossed I can get home soon and my leg isn’t going to drop off.

Wow that’s nasty! Did it come up quickly like that?

EmbarrassingMama · 12/08/2021 15:49

You poor thing. Hope you took a good book!

3luckystars · 12/08/2021 15:51

Wow, biggest bruise I have ever seen. Let us know how you get on at the hospital.

How quick did it come up that colour? It’s amazing really.

lastcall · 12/08/2021 15:59

Yikes! Hope it's not broken!

3luckystars · 12/08/2021 16:02

I would guess it’s definitely broken, maybe even twice. I have no medical training or X-ray vision though!
It’s so bruised!!!
