This is an A&E trip right?

Tripped over dd’s scooter in the garden and fell with all my weight on my leg. It’s not broken as can weight-bear (with pain!) but my god it’s so bloody sore. Bruises came up very quickly.

Am adding a photo of my nasty bruise in solidarity. That will teach me to step over a fence with both legs at the same time...

last time I saw bruises like that, they were on my mother after she fell, smashed her wrist and had been pulled about all over the place to try to re-set the fracture

they started like those and over the week blackened and grew almost up to her armpit/whole arm.

Hope you are not too long in Minor Injuries and that it is not actually broken.

A&e, daughter was walking around on a broken leg for 2 days, snapped her fibia in half!!!

Hope you are ok. You can still weight-bear on a broken bone unfortunately.

When I had bruises like that after sliding forwards on ice and putting all my weight on one leg one leg at an awkward angle - it turned out to be a very serious and lifechanging injury.

I hope it goes well but I would push for a referral for an MRI scan to investigate the possibility of knee and ankle ligament damage

TBH if the accident was only today I would be worried that the bruising has come up so quickly. Definitely get it checked out!💐

But that's off the back of me wasting 9 fucking hours in A&E this week. Ymmv

I broke my foot in three places tripping over. I drove home and walked around carefully on it until I finally went to a and E and found out it was broken

I hope it isn’t broken, but being able to weight bear is not a guarantee of that.

Unfortunately, being able to weight-bear doesn't mean it's not broken. My mum fractured her foot (with similar coloured bruising to that) and walked about on it for three days before my dad persuaded her to go to A&E!

The only time I’ve bruised like that it was a fracture. Apparently it was from the bone bleeding
