Thunder

Silkiecat is still sitting outside whilst there is thunder DH is persuading her to come inside.

Thunder here, too, and 3 to 7 drops of rain. Regrettably no cat.

We now have fairly heavy rain and thunder and Silkiecat is asking to go outside Not sure Silkiecat has many brain cells left.

Sev went out into the rain and then came in for a cuddle.
It is really raining here now, DH had to secure his tomatoes, because the wind picked up, too.

No rain or thunder here. I'd quite like both.

I'm not sure what to do with my Sunday evening.

I'm mainly eating chocolate. I suppose I could do something more useful, but I'm not sure I want to.

I’m in isolation as close contact with my sister who has tested positive. I’m fine, negative lateral flows and I’m double jabbed and have had covid. I’m just really, really bored. I keep buying stuff and booking weekends away to fill my time. Send help.

Can you do anything more useful than eating chocolate Squirrel? 😲 Though I ate a BigMac which probably has similar levels of usefulness and it had 2 gherkins in and lettuce so that must be my 5 a day sorted!

Sorry you are in isolation potato Its rubbish, only thing I can recommend atm is the Olympics, I am watching on DiscoveryPlus. Dd is in isolation atm and ds is very reluctant to leave the house so I am doing a lot of sorting the house though its only when finished that is enjoyable. I exhausted lockdown enthusiasm by the end of the first lockdown.

@HelenaJustina do you have a cattle prod available, we had one as a child (on a farm) and my brother (older) used to chase me with it. I've told his kids about this and they now remind him about when he used to "tazer" Frogs when he is being "mean" to them

My printer is running on unbranded cartridges.

@Silkiecats is that the bulky bin collection, I have mine booked for Tuesday at the cost of 10.70 for up to 5 items. My old fridge freezer is going.

I've done a load of cooking this evening so waiting for it to cool down for going in the fridge.

The past few days has been like a depressive mood, everything is very flat. This will pass very soon. Hopefully

That's a bargain Frogs Mine is the 'white goods and hazardous electrical item service' at £25 per item, its similar to the bulky item service but more expensive - bulky items are 3 items for £30 then £5 per extra item. Hope you feel happier soon.

The rain has stopped but the air is paper welling humid.

We’re away for one night tomorrow, it is ridiculous how much gubbins we need for 2 days at the beach for 6 people.

Welcome, @Imapotato, and thanks for sharing your infectious disease and immunization news. Isolating must be boring. Do you have Netflix or Amazon Prime Video? I can pass a lot of time watching TV shows.

Blueberry bread is in the oven. I put the eggs out first to make sure I didn't forget to add one and it still needed more orange juice than the recipe called for to get the right batter consistency. I'm also using pecans instead of walnuts in this one. I also use a turbinado cane sugar for baking, which adds a nice flavor.

The Yankees beat the sodding Red Sox again, so that alone makes it a good day.

Frogs, that is a bargain for appliance pickup. We get a free bulk pickup once a month for things like furniture but if we want an appliance picked up for recycling it's a $30 fee from the town.

We will Zoom with DD and my MIL in a bit, then BBQ chicken and teryaki skirt steak for dinner.

Tea - the drink that is - is massively overrated. DH insists on tea with our evening meal and I am forced to drink evening tea since 1986.

I used to love Chinese food, but found it completely unappetizing during my first pregnancy and haven't cared for it since, unfortunately.

I was told to avoid caffeine when pregnant so you may be better to drink something else anyway Sunbird I believe bears are very keen on honey and as you are making baby bears I guess you need to drink hot milk with honey , its nicer than it sounds.

We are currently on holiday in the Cotswolds. Despite this I have managed to enjoy quite a bit of the Olympics. I get all emotional when someone unexpected wins, like the Austrian lady on the bicycle and the Tunisian man in the pool.

I have started separating light dirty laundry from dark dirty laundry in an attempt to make things easier when we return home. It is very peaceful here.

The blueberry bread is out of the oven. I sprinkled some of the turbinado sugar on the top to make a sweet crust. On the right side of the picture, you can see a bit of my kettle. I'm pointing this out because I have been told that I cannot have one, as MN knows that Americans don't have kettles of any description, barbarians that we are.

Sunbird If you are aiming for English Teddy bears then herbal tea with honey should be fine. However I am concerned as I thought your socks were more 🐻 🐻 and I checked and brown bear cubs just drink milk. Explains why you went off tea. Adding honey makes girls. And of course your diet needs to become 100% salmon, 2 giant salmon per day. And once your 🐻s are born you can get revenge on the neighbours, just send the cubs to the bouncy 🏰.
