For those that hang washing out on the line....

....do you also hang your underwear out? I do and ive never given it a second thought, but I saw my neighbour hang her washing out but take all her underwear back inside and it got me thinking, have I been brazenly displaying my knickers for years? Lightheartedly just wandering what others do.... 🙂

I do but I have a rotary line and hang it on the inner lines.

I hang underwear out unless it's likely to rain later on because I can't be arsed faffing about unpegging pants and socks in a hurry!

Pants and bras out with the rest of stuff but always on inside of other washing (rotary dryer)

I do but my grandmother had a secret line behind the shed for underwear 🤣🤣 youd come out and all your underwear would be gone off the main line.

DH does the laundry and hangs everything out he can peg.

Yep, I don't see the issue. I probably wouldn't put up sexy pants though, but this is more because of potentially pervy neighbours.

I put it on a clothes horse for ease of taking it in and out, not because I'm ashamed of it!

I hang mine out but my mam keeps hers inside. Weirdly, she's quite happy to sit in her bra in the garden when the weather's nice. Maybe it's just a knicker thing?!

You can see a bit of my washing line from the road, so I undertake strategic undergarments arrangement.

I don’t have a rotary line. my washing line is about 16 meters long and every thing goes on it.

I don't. Our washing line is in a communal area and very public. It's not rational, but I'm not inclined to have it on display - mind you, if a pair of knickers found it's way into the wash basket I wouldn't bother to take it back upstairs, I hang up the odd one.

Have dh's and the ds's on full display though (poor neighbours, sometimes it feels like it's nothing but pants).

I am a little odd about underware - because I stick it on the rotary washing lines and not on the line that is hoisted up and visible over the garden walls to many gardens and the public road.

The immediate neignbours can see whirlly gig line from spots in their garden and their above ground floor windows which doesn't bother me - but somehow feel having our pants and even bras on the main line and very visible to wider audience is wrong.

Yeah but I pop it on ones of those multi hanger things where you can peg 15/20 small items and pop that onto the main line. Sometimes they go in the line itself if I have enough room but I try to hide them

Everyone wears it, who cares? (Well hopefully).

My neighbours can see the left hand side of my washing line so I will admit that I hang my undercrackers on the right.

DH's pants just go wherever though!

I've done that when low on pegs - usally means I'm putting them on the heavy meatl muli hanger I've got - though that still goes on rotary line and not hoist up line.

Mine go outside on an Ikea octopus peg thing. Easy to bring in in a rush then
