For those that hang washing out on the line....

....do you also hang your underwear out? I do and ive never given it a second thought, but I saw my neighbour hang her washing out but take all her underwear back inside and it got me thinking, have I been brazenly displaying my knickers for years? Lightheartedly just wandering what others do.... 🙂

I do but you’d have to really be looking to see it from any other property

I do but it depends how much there is and how much space/pegs it will take up on the line. Also how short we are running of clean undies/socks. Sometimes I'll take them back inside and hang them on the 'socktapus' thingy that has all the clips or sometimes I'll stick the underwear in the dryer if we need it urgently. But most often I peg it out. If I don't, it is never because of any shyness about it being underwear.

All my pegs are now wood. This makes it much easier because all the pegs match. When I had different coloured plastic pegs, the same colour pegs had to go on a single item of laundry.

I've gone for metal pegs - and a metal muti holder thingy - means when they get left out they don't go slimy or decide to explode in my eyes like the previous plastc pegs were prone to do.

Yes it all goes out. Our garden is all out front (back to back terrace) but behind a tall fence. I wear full briefs and I’m big lass, when my DH hangs them out he used three pegs 😂 I am more discreet with one!

on the rotary, on the inside, hiding, but currently have a line, the rotary is broken, so i am having doubts also

I've got a few of those hanger things from Asda that you can hand around 15 pairs of socks / pants on dead easy to grab if the rain comes on. My knickers are hidden to the inside . If I were to hang mine on the actual line my neighbours might think the tall ships were going past with the size of them being like sails in the wind

I do but I must admit I hang knickers with one peg from the crotch rather than spread them out for the world to see !

I have a high line. So no unless maybe socks. I have them mini round peg things that hold about 20 items which I hang in the peg you wrap the line round.

Sometimes I bring underwear back in and hang it on our IKEA octopus over the bath. It just saves pegging out 20 odd pairs of pants out to bring them back in again later.

In my mind underpants = male underwear and knickers = female underwear.

I hang them in the middle of the whirlygig so they are obscured. In my old garden, I had a straight line which could be plainly seen from the street so I used to hang my knickers inside there.

Underpants = Y fronts, in my mind

I've got metal pegs too; if they get grubby I can just swoosh them in soapy water.

Reminds me of those seaside villages where the washing lines are outside the front of the house. Not only including underwear but a point of pride on how clean they are, I guess.

I generally tumble dry knickers and socks as I can’t be arsed pegging out that many.

But I have no qualms putting them out!

Yes I do hang it all out, even underwear. I won't model it to all and sundry once it's dry though😂

Get em flapping in the wind! I peg the lot out on those multi-peg things so its easier to run in if it starts raining (not wasting electric on a tumble if its dry)!!! I do bring them in if a neighbour has visitors but other than that everything is out in in that sunshine getting some UV rays on the gussets! (not that they are stained or anything...). You should be more worried about people who dont wash their undies!!!
